  1. He may be serious Frank, although I rarely take him seriously. Alan.
  2. Well I believe it is a viable proposition with a Jab 3300 up front and a Jab 2200 at the back. Incredible performance with both engines running. Pretty good performance with engine up front only. Good economical cruising with rear engine only. Fuel in wings plus tail booms Name of aircraft would be the Five Litre Ten Cylinder Jabiru Photoshop. .
  3. It would still be quieter than the Cessna 337. Alan.
  4. Do tell us Frank. Alan.
  5. He could see that you were probably worried about a ramp check and simply wanted to get on the right side of you. Alan.
  6. It's probably a Cessna pretending he's grown up to be a Jabiru. Alan.
  7. I agree with Deskpilot regarding the final cost, also there is a problem with engines being still available. Alan.
  8. I did the same thing in my Tyro several years ago; I managed to do four loops then fell off the top of the fourth and went into a violent inverted spin, fortunately at around 300 feet my alarm clock went off and I woke up before hitting the ground !!! I am very lucky to still be around and able to tell you this 'unbelieveable story'. Alan.
  9. Mistakes made in the past can be a good learning curve sometimes. Alan.
  10. It looks foolproof to me....he's just proved he is a fool. Alan.
  11. Don't sell your excavator yet, we may need a mass grave to bury our aircraft in. Sorry, it's not really funny. Alan.
  12. He wouldn't need weapons, his appearance would frighten off the bravest boat skipper. Love the photo. Alan.
  13. Sounds like a genuine business partnership....Ken and Nedy. Alan.
  14. I have done low level training for my PPL in Europe and for my PPL here in Australia but do not have an endorsement. Alan.
  15. Sounds as though somebody was really in the soup at that 'fly in'. Alan.
  16. Alan.
  17. I have seen the video but not sure how to source it, my routine was similar but I was trying to fly sober. Alan.
  18. Good to see that we are back to discussing D motor. Alan.
  19. Regarding having fun, several years ago I did a beat up in both directions at Parafield Airport. I flew just in front of the control tower at 500ft into wind just above the stall then picked up speed did a 180 and did a reverse burn up at full throttle and maximum SPEED in my L4 Piper Cub, I had a ball and so did the crowd except for one guy who was heard to say on my upwind leg that he could blxxdywell walk faster than that. Oh the joy of public air displays. I had to perform well because I was following the previous display which was a Sea Fury, talk about a hard act to follow. Alan.
  20. Welcome Rowdyd...in your list of aircraft flown, it was nice to see that you moved up the ladder and eventually flew the best aircraft in the world. Alan.
  21. 500 man hours to build from a kit? A man will measure three times and cut once whereas a woman gets it correct first time so it would be less in female hours. Alan.
  22. He must own or fly a Piper L4 Cub (military J3) nicknamed a 'Grasshopper in WW2. Alan.
  23. If you click on the little I in the top right hand corner of the video picture it has an explanation there. Alan.
  24. Managed to post the photos but didn't know how to post the email text which came with the photos. Alan.
