    It’s a risk you take when buying such a sh1t heap in the first place and only making it look ‘pretty’! The guy who said he’d flown just about every diff type....but learnt nothing! Still he survived, wonder whether he learnt anything this time?

    You’re right the Corby Starlet is an amazing plane, will go to VNE using the Jab80 in Lvl flight if you are not careful👍

    The whole philosophy of the AUF was to keep it simple hence affordable flying but like most thinks in life you plant a seed then it grows into a big tree!👍

    A friend of mine has one of those trike thingies with a 80 HP Rotax donk (which I think is the common HP)? & he runs it it at a much higher power setting using around 15 lph, (that’s what he plans) at 60 kts, seems happy at higher revs, prop /wing combo must have a lot to do with it. on a side note bend in one once many years ago, felt really strange, not for me😉

    So someone buys/operates a new type of powerplant (to them) and they have no idea about basic engine checks? That’s poor airmanship right from the get go! Too many poorly trained and ill equipped drivers out there as it is! There's so much info avail today on every plane/engine that not knowing the basics is just lazy!

    I’ve said it before, don’t think I’ll ever fly again or get out of bed for that matter, just to risky, according to some😂 Everything we do is a risk, calculate the risk/s for YOU and bloody get on with it.....long time dead!

    5 weeks waiting for a class 1 assessment, according to Avmed’s website the average time to issue a med cert is around 10 days, seems bullshit runs right thru CASA’s inept departments! A class 5 will only add to the problems but hey why not we already live in a two class society anyway!

    I don’t know how you guys sleep at night with all the stress you show, I just fly my birds with whatever fuel I can get and go flying, I also sleep like a baby😉😂👍

    I believe that a more competency based training/checking system for those converting to RA from PPL (& beyond) would see more take up that level of driving planes, the current 5 hrs is an insult to most experienced drivers!

    Whilst EP stuff is gaining popularity albeit with limitations I’ll go a hydrocarbon product any day, love the smell of two stroke in the morning, EP is for fairies😉
