    Quad bikes are well known to be killers, ask anyone in the EMS field, I know I’ve seen the work those dangerous things do! RIP, another one taken by them☹️

    Gippy is a nice area to drive around in a plane. Used to enjoy flying along the 90 mile beach, start past LKE then do a U turn at MCO, all at 501’😉

    I’ve been using the cheap & nasty filters for ages, Changing them every 50 hrs and filtering my gas thru a Mr Funnel every time, never seen dirt or water anywhere👍

    With the advent of GPS in pretty much every airframe in one form or another an indication of speed is easy sort.

    That's actually a rare bottle nosed dolphin with wings & fins?😉 Shown with an astronaut who is well behind the craft during the splash down phase.....t😁

    Ive seen this sort of event personally & in recent times. Moderate DA & a poor performing engine. Luckily the occupants walked away from the crash less than a K from the end of the RWY. It happens and it remains a mystery as to why we do it?

    Tragic & totally unnecessary:-( I often read the Kathryn's reports (whilst I re-fuel my FlightSim), makes for sobering reading at times:-( Pilot/human error is always the cause nothing will stop that, there will be more guarantee it despite pilot experience!

    I recall that Dehav crash, it was used for a review of VFR flight in marginal WX for a few plane drivers I know some years ago. An utter tragedy that was utterly unnecessary:-( It will happen again, it's human nature to break rules written & personally:-(

    Canards whilst a clever design cant be that good otherwise after the 'Wrong Bros' started out with them aircraft manufactures would have stuck with them to today, few have tried, most have failed. I don't agree that driving a car or a boat is anywhere near a comparison to driving a plane. Your car engine stops or yr boat engine stops you come to a halt, pissed off maybe but that's all, a plane is an entirely different beast when it all goes pear shaped!! Flying is still a skill well beyond other types of machinery operations, trouble is (like Ive said ) it's way too easy to get a plane ticket & it shows! Some years ago the RFDS looked at the P180 Avanti, whilst technically advanced in some area's compared to the current RFDS fleet (B200) It failed for various reasons. Orphan type air-frames always seem to turn out lemons in reality.

    Took y FlightSim outside today set it up with a strong x-wind blowing across the screen, too easy to land regardless of wind😁

    All the gizmo's avail today in what was originally a basic design in the AUF world can & do sucker in the drivers of their planes! Once upon a time flying a drifter or a J2 Cub you wouldn't dream of going near clouds, now drivers just sail on in thinking their gizmo's will save them & most times they do but that's a false sense of security! The amount of times I've been popping in & out of cloud some years ago to see an unknown lighty is astonishing! I've always said it...it's too easy to get a plane ticket to drive planes, training is woeful these days & BFR's/AFR's are a joke! My 'Flightsim" keeps me safe😁

    Many moons ago I was a safety driver for a guy I knew who was rich & wanted to drive planes. a late starter. He bought a C182 & got taught, got a ticket & promptly wrote the Cessna off! He then bought a C210 & PA30, both well beyond him but got a twin rating (somehow!)& by all accounts near killed himself in both, this is where I came in. He was told by numerous instructors NOT to drive planes solo! (did the same thing for Bib Stillwell's Bro) so I accompanied him/them when they wanted to drive a plane! The guy was 70 years old (long gone now), some shouldn't fly at an advanced age!

    Flying planes has always been a luxury, been doing it 42 years (although some reckon I'm not even a pilot😁😉 so I hope that bugs you fools😁), hate to imagine what I've spent on flying but I guess I'll keep on spending! RA is the same as GA in the scheme of things, just some diff regs/rules. The hobby/pastime (& that's all it is till you go CPL) is getting more expensive and fewer people are taking it up. It's voluntary to fly GA for that you have to accept that it's run & watched by at times incompetence & shear obstructionist rules!

    As long as they guy only has permanent sad memories & not permanent medical issues then that's all that matters.

    A lot of plane drivers are scared of conventional U/C machines which is a shame as they teach proper handling skills which is sadly lacking in so many plane drivers these days:-(
