    Correct: XCsoar runs on Android (and many other platforms too), but LK8000 has a looooot of improvement over XCsoar (i.e. multimaps, as shown above).

    Well, about the price, only ICP can answer directly (IMHO it will be good, on the contrary all the operation would have no sense, but this is just my idea. At the beginnig of this thread there are some consideration about this). About the fuel, ICP confirmed me that all the one you mentioned will be usable, also the ones with alcohol (but unleaded in that case, If I understood correctly) Ciao!

    Hello, Sometimes ago I discovered a fantastic navigation software (born and very used for gliders in world-class competition too, but also good for our use). It's name is LK8000,open source, fully configurable. It has replaced anything else in my cockpit (I can define, finally, all my airspaces, waypoints and so on as I like) It can be loaded on any Windows CE PNA (or mini PC or tablet with Windows). No Android or iOS.(Windows CE in embedded use like this is extremely stable, and most of the car navigators are based on it. I have smartphone and tablet too, but a dedicated device for navigation is better IMHO) A support forum (in English, of course) can be found here: http://www.postfrontal.com/forum/default.asp?CAT_ID=11. I'm happy to answer here, but I'm not in the development team, so it's the best information and Q/A source. On he forum you can find too the latest development version, which are anyway very stable and has further very interesting new features. No advertising, no hidden tricks.     Hello, Just to keep you updated about engine: tests are proceeding with success. The team is working on refinig consumption, engine mapping and so on. Right now it has not yet beem airborne due to the simple reason thet the test equipment is too big and bulky to be carried on board (and jut having it flying does not add anythimg to the test thay can perfrm on ground). The idea is anyway to have it flying before the end of current year. Now something interesting: a Powerpoint presentation with a lot of inner information about the engine.     Hello, At the Friedricshafen fair (Aero 2013, Germany), both the new engine as well as the Savannah J (a new* taildragger version of the Savannah) were officially presented. Here you can see both of them: BTW, engine tests are proceeding correctly. Only the weather looks not to be very good this spring here in Italy * = taildragger versions were already done in the past, but this one will be probably certified.

    Hi, No problem! Yes, the article was published on an online Italian magazine, and then of course was in Italian . Looking at how the automated translation was looking, I was just clarifying wat was looking to me not so well translated by the system. And, still to be just clear: I have no personal interest in promoting ICP products: I'm just a customer of them (my bread come from working on computers). I just live few kilometers far from the ICP plant, no more, no less. When I'll have news, I'll let you know. Ciao!

    Hello, I'm the author of the translated article about the new ICP engine. Usually automated translators make some mistakes... :-) , so i have to point that the project of the engine looks similar to other Morini (motorcycle) very succesful ones because the designer is the same (Ing. Franco Lambertini and his team), but it's NOT a motorcycle engine modified for aviation use: it's a brand new project done expressly and solely for aviation (there will not be derivation for land use: too different project requirements make this a nonsense). As for the weight, 67 Kg is to be intended as "Installed" (914 is, in this configuration, 75,5 Kg). There are several patented news on it, regarding mainly reliability, easier maintenance and fuel consumption. Being a modular design, there is plenty of possibilities of different future versions (4 cyl?). Ciao! Max

    I have one mountd on my VG. It has been done by ICP. It's a Stratos Light Speed Soft Pack (Junkers Profly), the one which ICP usually mounts. It' located in the baggage compartment. I bought it for the same good reason that Tracktop listed. It's a bit expensive, of course, but I believe a good investment. By the way, with a new law, here in Italy, any industrial built microlight registered after 30 June 2011 must have the ballistic chute mounted. For the homebuilt (kit or not), the date of mandatory chute is 1 January 2013 (already registered ones does not need to mount it). Beside the new law, many of the Savannah I've seen there have the ballistic. Ciao, Massimo

    Me toot have paraglided in Semonzo. It is a very crowdy place (in air), due to a lot of foreigner pilots. Hope to see you here..., also if I'm almost never in Veneto zone, where Semonzo is: Turin is in the northwest (it's the FIAT hometown). Ciao!

    Bingo and Millenium Well, first of all, thanks for the warm welcome! My school is Fly Club Barone Rosso , where, incidentally, the instructor is the test pilot of the Millenium, which I can see anytime I'm there. It's a fantastic machine: very well built and flies very well. On their site you can find some Millenium pictures too ("Flotta" page) . The red one you can see is the first production one. Last weeks there were a lot of journalists flying it, looks like everyone wants one... well, it's better for me to come back to the Bingo ;) . Again thanks !

    After 20 years of non-powered flight, I'm going to get my ultralight license. I started the school with an ICP Bingo (small-Savannah), which probably will be my choice after the exams (BT the ICP factory is less than 50 Km from my home) See you here...
