Just wandering about the rubber bowl gaskets for a bing 54 carbs, are they the new thing over cork gaskets. Also someone said with the rubber gaskets you have to put some grease on the gasket to hold in place when placing the bowl onto the gasket, what type of grease is safe to do so
Hi farri, the drifter is going really well and thanks, nice lush country your way can you send some rain down here to Central Queensland, the farmers around here are doing it very tough. I put another photo of the drifter on here to see if I could get the page rolling again as its been awhile.
Hi Shane, you are spot on, that primer is the exact one, I have never had a problem with the primer as I believe it is still the original one, just looks a bit rusty but when it fails I know where to get one, only problem now is can I put 1/8 barb ends on the 1/8 thread as they say barbs 6-8mm
Looking at getting a new fuel primer for my drifter and noticed on the primer "med tecnica Italy" and when I went on the internet about info on this primer, barely nothing maybe one web site but cannot get into it. Does anyone have info on this primer or point me in the right direction to talk to someone about this primer, cheers.
Maybe a silly question but what is the bolt on the underside of the water pump housing on a Rotax 582 and what is the torque wrench setting for that bolt, cheers.
What would be just a general cleaner for all flying wires on the drifter, after a little while they have lost their shine and appear a dull brown colour ( not rust ).
"Pos Comms" are always a peace of mind, I fly a drifter and if I'm within 10 miles of an aerodrome with another aircraft/s inbound I still give a position broadcast with intentions, even though I'm slow I still want other a/c to know who and where I am.
