I have a glass inline fuel filter which I bought from aircraftspruce and think by memory it was a Tempo brand. I need to change the filter and the rubbers seals rather than buy a new unit, anyone know where I can get these parts from, cheers

What Brand of fuel hose is the best to buy as changing out a few fuel lines for a Rotax 582.

I’ve also heard that the spark plug cap is different as well and a special tool has to be purchased to remove the plug from the cap otherwise you may break the porcelain on the plug, also heard the new 12mm spark plugs are $25 per plug

Hey Samuel, in regards to the jumper out of the drifter, maybe he shouldn't put that seatbelt on, after he takes it off looks where it is flapin around in the breeze.

I have a drifter with an airspeed indicator to 100 knots, I know the drifter will get no way near that in one piece so would an 80 knot indicator be better as you are using more of the indicator in the instrument.

Dalby Air Maint. are good for the drifters, I believe they have a few spare struts to.

Can anyone recommend something to clean flying wires on the drifter, they aren't all that old just need a good clean. Cheers

I have my rotax 582 exhaust ceramic coated and now my egt temps are way low, cruise egt would be low thousand but moved the needle one notch leaner and monitored the cruise egt at 1100f but full throttle egt are about 900f, need to change the main jet to get full power egt to 1000f like before ceramic coated.

problem sorted, faulty guage, as I checked the battery voltsge being 12.76v and the volt meter reading 14v. Reg was putting out 14.12v.

The guage is the standard drifter guage I guess but I discovered it only reading this high when I blew a 5 amp fuse and drained the battery flat then recharged the battery overnight, since reinstalling the battery it has been reading high on the voltmeter, it has a 15amp fuse in the reg. but haven't checked that lately.

On my drifter 582 when flying, my volt meter is reading between 15-16volts. I thought the regulator charges the battery at 13.2 volts. I have a powermate regulator that's only 9 months old.
