  1. scratching my head over this comment. are you saying he should gel coat his magnetos. 😀
  2. another good photo .aircraft tug still chained to the deck of a sunken aircraft carrier 5300 mts deep.
  3. That would have been a good one . Sorry I didn't realise it was sold.
  4. hi mate, where do you go to get your forks chromed. i need my forks done but the bike shop is saying 4 weeks turn around ,is that normal.
  5. have a look at rf guys 230 in the classifieds.
  6. another good photo. corsair wing lock failed when it took off
  7. i know raaus get bagged a lot on here, i am guilty too, but the other day i had a discussion with darren barnfield about an engine change and other stuff on a tornado and he could not have been more helpful, i thought it was great that the head of raaus tech took the time to answer all my questions . for all their faults i can say the people i have dealt with so far have been great. this rant is nothing to do with your post , you just reminded me of a good experience with raaus.
  8. i don't care about any of that. all i have said is raaus are trying to gain access to controlled airspace. with an rpc not an rpl. i don't have any intention of flying in controlled airspace so it does not concern me. go back to the first post and read what the thread was about.
  9. won't the new class 5 do it.
  10. we already know about that. it does not change the fact that rpc holders can't enter controlled airspace which is what raaus are trying to change.
  11. I don't think so.
  12. I have to go out now but I will read through the casa stuff after. I must be missing something.
  13. But aren't you saying what I have said all along. The training is RPL.
  14. I just read it again and Its says training and raa hire only. I assume the hire is solo training because all raa pilots must be under supervision of a CFI.
  15. You have lost me. The only raa in cta are training with exemption. I go back to what I said before, why are raa seeking permission to allow them into cta if as you say it's already allowed.
  16. If you read the posts you would see this has been mentioned more than once.
  17. What is it you see. It's pretty clear to everyone but you what the rules are.
  18. whats wrong with them. they seem to do a good job. the bing website makes no distinction between a motorbike or aircraft application. i can't see why there would be different gaskets. they all look identical.
  19. I think casa is stopping rpc access not raa. That's the way I read it anyway
  20. I posted a casa page earlier. But that is not what this is about. Raa are trying to get rpc holders access and that's what this thread is about. I understand what you are saying but that is converting to RPL.
  21. The topic is raa access to controlled airspace. If you do the the training as you say. Then you have to become a GA pilot.
  22. He realised he got it wrong and has gone quiet.
  23. I downloaded the information from casa and it is exactly as I thought. You must have an RPL to fly . Just because raaus schools operate in these areas does not mean the student is free to do what they want once they get their rpc. I have looked into raaus training at Moorabbin a while back.
  24. My Dynon d6 went off the last couple of flights, intermittent power loss I think. After a while I forgot all about it. Found myself looking around more instead of fixating on that screen. Might remove it .
