  1. The radio is an icom a210 . Not a handheld. The intercom is built into the radio. The wiring to the headset plugs is very short. It does have anl .
  2. These are the plugs and leads. Today I played around a bit with the radio and I turned the intercom off. It seems to be pretty good now. Radio is icom a210.
  3. I am pretty sure that's what I fitted. Will check today. They were recommended for jabiru.
  4. I noticed today my radio interference was so bad at 2800 rpm it was a struggle to hear a reply from another aircraft . If I cut the throttle the noise disappears. How do I tell if this is ignition or alternator noise. Also when we did the annual recently I changed to iridium plugs. Would that cause any issues. Tia
  5. I have rebuilt plenty of starters in the past . This thing uses a 1989 corolla starter with jabiru made snout. I can get a new aftermarket starter for $165 and swap the snout over.

  8. I think I will have to do a starter rebuild. Freshly charges 270cca and it is only just winding over fast enough to start this morning and it's a fairly warm day .
  9. they are good value. buy them over the counter here. early mustang is the same as well. there is a good jabiru alternative supplier list online compiled by someone in the uk.

  11. i think its a bit over the top. i just give my plugs a squirt of oil or crc and have never had a problem. as nev says correct torque is the most important thing, thats what we were taught at trade school.

  16. yes, but a with a very good reputation and not all that expensive either.
  17. we learn to fly without rudder in one of the modules but i guess that goes out the window if the vertical fin is missing or hanging to one side.

  19. if i keep the xair i might look at fitting a rotec alternator kit.
  20. mine runs through a powermate , would that help. they are supposed to a top of the range rectifier regulator.
