    albany had the best airshow i have been to but when the main organiser died in a heli training accident the show stopped too. it was a shame to lose such a great event on the south coast.

    I only knew because the blokes in the hangar opposite were getting their sabre jet ready to take off for tyabb. Not much advertising for it. Yet they are advertising the sale airshow and that is a food truck fest. Hardly any aircraft to look at.

    The technology is well and truly here to enable airlines to operate without pilots, the problem is who would want to travel on a pilotless aircraft.

    When training we adjust the qnh to what atis says and then compare Efis alt against steam altimeter. It would be rare for bothe to fail at the same time.

    could it possibly be a medical issue. just seems very strange. i know everyone thinks it only happens to old people but not always.

    yes. some of them have an emergency chute that they throw out by hand . Do paramotors have a reserve parachute? Cheap Insurance. Reserve parachutes are an absolute must-have in paramotoring - that is completely non-negotiable on our team.

    I think we are talking.about 2 different things. The video shows powered parachutes like turbo is talking about. And that is what I meant when I said they already have a parachute on. But they do carry a small reserve as well which would need some height to work.

    Just thinking about this. Do you mean they may have a high sink rate. I was thinking of normal parachutes but of course these powered ones would be a lot smaller I guess.

    did you hear about the penquin that noticed his car was leaking oil on a hot day so he took it to the garage. while waiting he went over the road and bought a soft serve cone. on the way back he tripped and spilt the soft serve. the mechanic working on his car said , you blew a seal. the penquin looked disgusted and replied its ice cream.😁

    if you look to the right side of the island there is enough length to chip out a runway for the thrusters near the proposed casino and bowls club.

    its not too far from wilsons prom. the hogan group, there are few smaller islands there too and the only land border between tassy and vic.

    very hard to sell. lots of trikes in hangars at our club. some haven't been used for years. i know one that the owner paid around 70k for sold for 20 last year.
