    It's such a shame when these beautifully restored old planes get smashed. Seems to happen a fair bit in the USA.

    I got caught with a 582 once. They have a vent hose connected to both carbs. I noticed 3 pinholes in the hose so I put a new piece of hose on. Pushed fuel out of both carbs when I started it. Then I realised it was a vent. 😁

    And how does this carb heat work.does it just warm the body of the carb. Its a flat plate with 2 wires attached to it.

    The hose must be for carb vacuum or maybe a vent ?. It just loops over to a nipple on the carby.

    That video does not look real at all sorry. That's CGI. The Thunderbirds look as real as that. I can't believe people are falling for it. In real I thought it would be tested in an open area and maybe even some tethered testing videos like every other VTOL has. Are trying to lure investors

    That video of it flying is CGI. The track video looks real so it's basically a buggy with rotors. It has never flown . If it had they wouldn't have had to make a fake video.

    That is the call sign we use on the radio. Every plane at our airfield says type then number. That's what my instructors have taught me to do.

    I have Aus runways but haven't used it because I don't go anywhere yet. I was looking at it and want to know if other aircraft with it show on the screen without a transponder.

    crank breather runs to catch can. i did trace that hose on the airfilter but i forget what it was for. will check tomorrow

    It's a hose. I forget what it's there for. Will have a look when I get home and let you know.

    i am on the road most days and the only yellow lines i have seen are above the snow line . maybe i need to look closer. turbo said he introduced the national vehicle regulator to australia so he should know.

    shouldn't be trying to starve koalas. are there other trees for them.

    i have only been involved with 6 912s and none of them had the heating options. my jabiru engine has an electric thing on it but i don't know if it helps much.

    a tecnam i did lessons in would ice up a bit when 1st started but clear as soon as the engine temp started to rise.

    9 series don't suffer from icing much because the carbs are on top where the warm air is.

    there was something on the news about a renewed search recently, i assumed this must have been to do with that.
