Morning guys, I got interested in Aviation as a kid back in the 90's. We lived on the back of a country airport and during the floods we had Caribou and the odd Hercules flying in and out all hours for weeks doing food and supply drops to isolated towns and farmers. Not long after I was invited to go up in a aerobatic plane (no idea what it was except that it was blue!) with a mates dad and geez it was amazing. I have always enjoyed flying in the cattle buses of the sky, been flying RC on and off for about 20 years and after dad complete his LSA accreditation and bought a plane I was like I'm going to do this! Ambitions... first up I'm going to go and do a TIF in the next few weeks, talk to people, ask lots of questions and take it from there. Ideally get licensed, get the passenger and cross country accreditations and enjoy the freedom. Cheers

Hi all, Thought I had better get reacquainted in the Just Landed area, even though it is more of a re-landing for me. Got distracted with kids and work for some time, then relocated... but now things have calmed down just a "tiny" bit I'm getting involved again. Anyway hello all and see you around the forums. Out of interest how do you see the future for Commercial Pilots? demand, industry, growth etc? Is there a flood of new blood incoming but none out going or vice versa? It seems no matter who you ask about the topic they all have a totally different opinion, it's a employers market these days then the next person says pilots have the abilty to pick and choose ? opinions??? Cheers

Ah very nice, are there many RA pilots out that way? private planes? hanger space? I'm looking forward to tripping around and checking out some of the Airfields, meeting & talking to those also passionate about flying.

Hi Stevron, Yes mate that's the plan, was going to head out there this morning but it's Pea Soup at the moment out at Corowa Airport according to Steve. I'll pop out there next weekend, hoping to get started in the next few weeks depending on how busy I am. Where do you fly out of?

Hi Sue, Not sure what has happened I can't log back in from my PC (painfully using the iPhone on the Telstra network right now) so maybe for security reasons I have been booted also! Hi Guys, Just a quick line to say hi from Albury NSW, been a member for a little while so thought it was time. Off to have a meet & greet / look over a plane (Tecnam) tomorrow morning with a local Instructor regards starting my training... can't wait! Hope to get on with it in the next couple of months.
