    Giving up GA, the hard thing is acknowledging that you will never own or fly that plane that you always admired. It may have been a dream, but it was nice to think about. RAA is a wonderful opportunity, but it is sort of like giving up flying, if you know what I mean.

    I have beaten the system by going RAA. CASA required several annual reports from specialists that the specialists told me were not otherwise necessary and cost a lot of money, including scans and that stress test.

    Latest advice is the engine is going to get a bulk strip anyway, and the insurance company owns it, so manage power right up to impact to get the best round out.

    The area was settled in the early 1850s. So we have quite a few places named after battles and people from the Crimean war headlines. Such as Sebastopol, Inkerman, Redan, Alma, Balaclava, Malakoff.

    There are millions of dashcams around the world now. If something appeared up ahead (UFO, big black cat, Thylacene) then it would be all over the social media. Hasn't happened.

    I would not put ethanol anywhere near an aeroplane. But I don’t know the answer to your question, I do know that Rotax now allow up to 10% ethanol so it is a good question. They say refer back to the aeroplane manufacturer, and I have not done that for my A32.

    I had a choice of a new 404 or a used beetle. The 404 was a run out model in 1971 and no one wanted them. I chose the VW and a friend bought the 404, it was a great car.

    I have spent some time in India on many visits and find it a vibrant place where people work hard on their business opportunities. It is possible to live very well if you have a business income. Friends have a cook, servant and a driver etc. and a nice house which might be modest by Oz standards but would do me.

    I had a FS Texan and it ran hot when climbing in summer, so I had to level out or nearly level out periodically to keep the temperature ok. The Storch may be similar.
