    I am stuck in understanding it. If the propellor is driven by the wind, the effective wind is zero once the car reaches wind speed. If it goes faster than the wind, effective wind speed is negative at the propellor. Then the propellor cannot drive the wheels through gears.

    The right thing for people to do is obey a lockdown. It is in everyone's interest. But this time/next time a large minority will refuse to do it, they have had enough. Then the virus will be free in the community. Could happen within the next days or weeks.

    Also a popular name for a sheepdog. Named after Charles Gibson's Tweed, which won the sheepdog trials at Forbes in 1879. My family had several dogs named Tweed.

    As a young pilot I couldn't afford to hire a Cherokee by myself. I had to find two or three friends to contribute to the cost, so I had to find a reason for the flight. Seeing the floods. Going to the lakes for a picnic. Etcetera. Ultralights, or more generally AUF then RAA planes, made flying affordable. I think FB has tongue in cheek.

    My last flight was today, officially my first flight since I was asked for further tests for my medical in January. But CASA are now happy and I am airborne again! My physical health has not changed over that period, but my mental health just got a big boost.

    Even if 10,000 residents love the airport, half a dozen activists complaining about noise or possible fiery crashes can get the attention of council and delay or prevent a positive outcome.

    Noise is ALWAYS and issue for airports and airstrips. Even a private strip with one or two flights a week can attract noise complaints. You have to anticipate this and actively manage to minimise noise.

    The shape for landing is quite clever. It gives an effect of shock absorption by landing on its tail and then rolling forward. Saves the weight of oleos or whatever.

    All I can say, based on experience with mining complaints, it is a bad idea to respond directly to complainants. Just riles them up. You need to go through the proper procedures, which sounds like through the council.
