No. New engines will not be produced. We have assembled long blocks and a large inventory to service existing engines for the distant future, and popular parts like gaskets continue to be produced. We will be building overhauled zero-time engines to service new installations.

HKS, Co., LTD, manufacturer of the HKS 700E Light Sport Engine, and its worldwide aviation engine distributor, Quicksilver Aircraft Northeast, LLC, have announced the relocation of parts supply and distribution to the United States from Japan. Quicksilver Aircraft Northeast LLC, based in upstate New York, has been a dealer for HKS engines since 2001, and the HKS 700E Distributor and Authorized Service Center since 2014. "We have negotiated with HKS to purchase the remaining inventories of spare parts and engines, and move them to New York to avoid delays in parts shipping and service of the HKS 700E engines in the field. The inventory available is enough to service these engines for decades to come, given the engines reliability and simplicity. And because we are managing all the inventory, we have been able to lower prices on many of the more expensive parts. Overhaul costs and turnaround times will be reduced, and parts orders will usually ship within 24 hours", stated Chris Hatin, owner of Quicksilver Aircraft Northeast LLC. The HKS 700E is an ASTM Compliant 60hp Four-Stroke, opposed twin cylinder engine, specifically designed for aviation use with a 1000 Hour TBO. Engine production ended due to slow sales. We still have some new engines and parts are being produced. To make another production run - 1000-1500 engines - just wasn’t viable. But the current parts inventory is enough to support them for decades to come, particularly due to its reliability.

We offer sales, service/support and parts supply for the engines. Mr. Hiroshi Kato, the engine's designer, is the technical liaison to Quicksilver N.E. Quicksilver N.E. has been an HKS dealer since 2004, and is a factory trained service provider.
