  1. Yeah I remember that computer game as well. Pud
  2. I'm with you on this one; almost everyone communicates electronically these days, and the few that don't can still get there information as they have always done. No need for that to be an argument why we shouldn't use all means for effective communication in my view. Get with it RAA!! Pud
  3. Great stuff Tex!! The 'Bindoon Mob' over here in the West are organising a fly away over this coming long weekend, with our very own 'Riley' involved. I received an invitation to join in but sadly cannot make it this time. They will have a good time I'm sure. Maybe Riley will post a bit about it and give us a run down after the event. Pud
  4. Kaz gets the video of the events out every now and then to refresh the memory. Pud
  5. Surely it wouldn't be classed as work, would it? From an OHS perspective, is this High Risk Work requiring a Safe Work Method Statement? Was a hazard risk assessment undertaken before the activity? Pud
  6. Here's the photos I took into the fabricator. I needed new ones because the old ones had been bent out of shape and I didn't want to chance it by straightening the tang and putting back into service. Pud
  7. Well, I hesitate to take a photo behind my instrument panel, but this is what it looked like during the setup process - in a not yet finished state, obviously. http://www.recreationalflying.com/useralbums/puds-thruster-project.9/view Pud
  8. Good one gwaf, Welcome to the forums here and I hope you have enormous fun with your new aircraft. It looks like it will be quite slippery. How about giving us some vital statistics (and more photos:wink:) on the bird? Pud
  9. I can tell you are excited Tomo, and so is your friend by the look of it. Somebody to fly with eh? Pud
  10. Ya gotta be happy with that Mark. I reckon I detected just a slight bit of tension in your voice as Bill fed the power in to take off, and the relief when you could see it was flying as it should. And the sense of satisfaction during the discussion with Bill after the flight. Bloody good stuff mate. Pud
  11. Well ain't that something else? I've got a big grin for you Mark, but I bet it's not as big as the one you've got on your face! Well done and thanks for keeping us up to date with what's been going on. It's great to follow your journey. Happy flying. Pud
  12. Well that wouldn't be so bad then, you'd be going soft with all that comfort!!. I really like the Drifter - I did all my ab initio training in one at Narrogin back in the 9o's. Pud
  13. I went looking for my gloves prior to this flight but could not find them. As is always the way, I located the gloves after the flight:doh: I can imagine the conditions in a trike; copping the full brunt of the wind all the time. I've never been in a trike so must give it a go sometime. Pud
  14. Hehehe. Yeah Pol is an ugly looking buggar eh? It wasn't too bad flying around actually, although you probably wouldn't want to be up there for an hour or 2. It did seem to warm up in the half hour anyway. Maybe we just got used to the conditions. Pol took a lot of the photos with my point and shoot Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7. It's a really great little camera that I like a lot. Pud
  15. It's ok OME, we still luv you!! I used to use the AN Bolts site for a bit of information is all. I need a couple of bolts that I will get from Western Airmotive at Jandakot Airport - only 5 minutes away for me. You have to pay through the nose but it's only a couple of bolts. When I want a reasonable order I'll give you a yell for sure. Pud
  16. I mentioned in the previous post I would like to report from time to time about flying for fun. Well Pol and I went for an early morning flight a couple of weeks ago, just half an hour around Wirraway Farm was all. But what a great morning, crispy cool, some light fog about, Pol in the right hand seat getting into my headphones with his 'North Gabbin verbal diarrhoea'........ With the air so cool it was hands off flying and turns could be made in balance with just aileron and no rudder input. I had 500kms of driving to do that day, and that half hour flight set me up for a great day - sensational!! Check out some photos I have posted in the album called "A cool morning with Gaygirl" and tell me what you think. Pud
  17. Does anybody know what has happened to AN Bolts? The website has been suspended. www.an-bolts.com.au Pud
  18. What, being embarassing again? Pud
  19. Seems like Ian is at it again - I've just noticed my post count is under 1700, where last time I looked it was above 1700. Ian must be taking the opportunity to remove some of my crap posts:smile: Goodonya mate:thumb up: , saves me from being embarassed inadvertently. Pud
  20. Glad you can laugh about it John, my comment was not meant to be taken in a serious context in any way. I'm certainly as bad as the next person for spelling mistakes. Pud
  21. I also think thread titles should have correct spelling, but hey, let he without sin..... Maj, there is on with Jabiru spelt incorrect I think. Pud
