  1. I hear on the grapevine that http://www.jdtmini-max.com/ has been sold to interests in Tassie and all operations will be shifted from the US to Tassie. The Aero-max kit is being sold now as well. I have a mate here in WA who has purchased a kit. I had a look at it the other day and I must say it appears to be a very well built kit, packaged up well for transport, and is very easy to build with jigs available for the wing rib construction etc. All timber construction. 2. -- The Perfect Husband Several men are in the locker room of a golf club. A cellular phone on a bench rings and a man engages the hands-free speaker function and begins to talk. Everyone else in the room stops to listen. MAN: "Hello" WOMAN: "Hi Honey, it's me. Are you at the club?" MAN: "Yes." WOMAN: "I'm at the shops now and found this beautiful leather coat. It's only $2,000. Is it OK if I buy it?" MAN: "Sure, go ahead if you like it that much." WOMAN: "I also stopped by the Lexus dealership and saw the new models. I saw one I really liked." MAN: "How much?" WOMAN: "$90,000." MAN: "OK, but for that price I want it with all the options." WOMAN: "Great! Oh, and one more thing. I was just talking to Janie and found out that the house I wanted last year is back on the market. They're asking $980,000 for it." MAN: "Well, then go ahead and make an offer of $900,000. They'll probably take it. If not, we can go the extra eighty-thousand if it's what you really want." WOMAN: "OK. I'll see you later! I love you so much!" MAN: "Bye! I love you, too." The man hangs up. The other men in the locker room are staring at him in astonishment, mouths wide open. He turns and asks, "Anyone know whose phone this is?"
  3. Dear Friend / Family member, I wanted to send some sort of holiday greeting to you, but it is difficult in today's world to know exactly what to say without offending someone. So I met with my lawyer yesterday and on his advice I wish to say the following: Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non addictive, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday practised with the most enjoyable traditions of religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice with respect for the religious / secular persuasions and / or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2012, but not without due respect for the calendar of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make our country great (not to imply that Australia is necessarily greater than any other country) and without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee. By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms: This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her / him or others and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. The wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher. Best Regards (without prejudice) Name withheld (Privacy Act).
  4. Jeez I dunno Nev, There's another thread on here called "Screwing the pooch" - do you really want a dog as your avatar??? Pud
  5. I reckon you should consider the animated aircraft flyby you had some time back Ian. It needs to include representation from grass roots through to the latest fantastic plastic. Just make sure you have a Thruster there or I'll ring you up and come done the phone line to grab you by the throat!! Also, what about random quotes or sayings of an aviation flavour - a different one each day, or each time you access the site? Pud
  6. Come on Nev, we all like you and now you have to select your avatar - just do it!! Pud
  7. Very good FT, that's more like it. Even the bloodhound has a decent nose that is suitable for Nev. Pud
  8. Reported on thewest.com this afternoon http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/a/-/breaking/12394990/serious-injuries-in-helicopter-crash/ Pud
  9. The nose isn't big enough for Nev to use sniffing stuff out. Pud
  10. I haven't done the test, but I'd be interested in taking part Bandit12 Pud
  11. Hasn't a 152 got wing tanks!!! Thanks for posting, I got a laugh out of that. Reminds me of the time I took a group of office ladies out to a building site for an orientation tour. One lady wouldn't come because her hair would be messed up when she put the hard hat on - just a little precious I think:crazy: Pud
  12. What other things would a facthunter hunt? Pud
  13. G'day Warthog and Welcome, I've never flown with Skysports Flying School at White Gum Farm York but it seems to be a well run and professional outfit. I've been there a couple of times for their annual flyin which is always a good day. Check them out here http://www.microlight.com.au/ and talk to Gordon Marshall. Cheers, Pud
  14. Its fine for me. Pedal harder on the generator David:) Pud
  15. And seemed to struggle taking flap off when initiating a go around. Pud
  16. Well I enjoyed watching that. Like others I can't understand why no boot it straight in the flare and into wind wing down. Still it was a pretty well full on crosswind, and one I would not have been up in. Well exceeding my skill level, and the capabilities of my Thruster!! Pud
  17. Yep. Also, if you work (as some of our divisions do) on Federal Government funded projects (such as new detention centres!!!) then you need to be aware that most of the OHS Harmonisation rules will apply. Pud.
  18. My understanding is that in WA and Vic the new harmonisation laws have been put back 12 months - so 1st January 2013. That is certainly the latest date mentioned for WA at the seminar I attended on Monday. Not 100% sure about Victoria though. Pud
  19. NUP!! I ain't playing Tomo:augie: Scared too many people last time I had my 'moosh' in my avatar. Here's Gaygirl at her new home on Wirraway Farm North Gabbin Pud
  20. Well Ian, I'm usually critical of change for change sake, but I like this change!! Pud
  21. Next best thing is sitting here reading and typing stuff about aviation. My better half has just walked past and looked in accusingly - I've only been here a couple of hours:augie: Pud
  22. And can't we pass the hours doing so!!! Pud
  23. And that's why I'd be willing to bet that at the next local council meeting there will be calls to not run such events again and close the airfield. Pud
  24. Illegal hours if you have not paid your membership!! Pud
  25. Illegal hours if you have not paid your membership!! Pud
