  1. Yep, I knew they had those there - pity they didn't fit my Thruster. Is it a full set of skins you need or just the wings? Pud
  2. John, My skins were made by Wayne Fisher as well so it would be real good if that service was still to be available even though we have lost Wayne. I do know though, that in WA at least, you can get Taskers Sail Makers to make them. I have spoken with them and they just require a pattern to work from. Do a search on sailmakers in the Brissie area - could be your answer. Pud
  3. It would help if we knew your location John. Do you have the old set of skins to use as a template/pattern? Pud
  4. What grounding? About a month ago I was asked for information to allow my re-registration due 7th April 2013 - an extra photo showing registration numbers on starboard side. I sent off all the photos required anyway, plus the usual annual requirements such as hours flown etc. Just received email notification, with attachment documentation, that my aircraft is registered. I feel for people who are having trouble getting aircraft registered or re-registered, so don't get me wrong. but my personal experience is positive. Pud
  5. Welcome PP, Nothing lke another Sandgroper to bolster the numbers; we need it! Where are you based and what do you fly mainly? Pud
  6. I spoke with Wayne a couple of times on the phone when he made the skins for my Thruster. He seemed like a quietly spoken, genuine nice guy. RIP Wayne. Pud
  7. I can recommend Wayne, he supplied the skins for my T500 Thruster. Pud
  8. I agree with hitc, but I don't apply it every 2 months! The cost would bankrupt me as I have not been able to purchase it in bulk. Would be interested to find out where it is available in bulk though. Pud
  9. He's gotta be on something... some of the stuff that finds its way out of his head should probably stay there. Sometimes I sit in wonder, speechless:laugh: All the best and good luck with the position Wayne. Pud
  10. Congratulations Dazza. Exhilarating flying - the Drifter. Pud
  11. I see it as a definite plus for instructors, and would keep it open and visible only to instructors. This way participants could have open and frank discussions at 'instructor' level without the added compromise of others (not instructors) who may form views out of context. Pud
  12. Maybe we need something like http://www.thruster.co.uk/spec/ . Oh, wait a minute... made in England and has a Jabiru engine as an option. Rag and tube though........................... Pud
  13. That's gold octave. Thanks for posting. Pud
  14. Howabout this for a'first'? http://www.onawingandachair.org.au/
  15. You haven't experienced my farts Frank!!! I was exercising restraint when we met in Townsville last August:laugh: Pud
  16. I thought long and hard about where this item should go, but there is only one place for it - right here in the Laughter section. http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/a/-/breaking/16150494/farts-its-important-to-let-rip-say-researchers/ Pud
  17. G'day propfarmer, Great stuff! I had a lot of fun during my restoration project that you can see in my avatar to the left here. Those brackets are also used as the attachment point for the jury struts, as well as the cables you mention. Inspect the stainless steel brackets closely whilst you can, and if in doubt replace them. if they are ok then I would reuse them, bearing in mind that your aircraft daily inspection should include a full inspection of all these stainless steel brackets - 4 on each wing, so 8 in total. I'm no expert so take my views for what they are - an anonymous poster on a forum. All the best, Pud
  18. Thanks HITC, your advice is appreciated. Pud
  19. Well I like that ave8rr, and I'm as envious as hell!! I'd just like a ride in one. Biggest for me PIC................ Lightwing. Pud

  22. With a monicker like yours I have to welcome you aussieragntube:welcome: Tell us a bit about yourself, especially, what do you fly? Pud
  23. The best laid plans.... My vehicle requires a new fuel pump so my trip to Esperance has been postponed, probably until the following week. I'll send you a PM when I know. Cheers, Pud
