  1. Hi Tony is there by any chance a step by step 582 installation manual/guide including the exact offsets for the engine mount for a TST. etc Cheers
  2. It appears that the 582 upgrade is almost a necessity as it would give you the margin for safety at the heavy end of the envelope. Cheers

    TST MTOW

Why is there a 30kg MTOW difference between the TST at 370kg and the TST enclosed at 400kg. One would assume they should be the same MTOW. The empty weight for the TST is 160kg and the enclosed 190kg. Cheers :;)5:

  9. Found this info 50/50 Solder Cored Wire Reels — Orange Label Sticks — marked 50/50. JOINING PROCESS: Soldering only. SOLDERING IRON bit temperature: 272°C. TYPICAL ROD ANALYSIS: Sn: 50% (Tin) Pb: 50% (Lead) TYPICAL PROPERTIES: Tensile Strength 45 MPa Shear Strength 40 MPa Approximate Melting Range 183–212°C Electrical Conductivity 10.9% IACS Comweld 965 [soft silver]Blue Labels and backing cards. JOINING PROCESS: Soldering only. SOLDERING IRON bit temperature: 281°C. Due to it’s high strength, good electrical and thermal conductivity, non toxicity (lead, zinc and cadmium free) and also the fact that it remains bright and shiny, make COMWELD 965 Solder the most universal of soft solders. Comweld 965 Solder is used for the joining and repair of copper, bronze, brass, nickel, monel, steel, stainless steel, pewter, chrome plate, metal sculpture, model making, costume jewellery and or a combination of metals with the exception of aluminium and magnesium
  10. A quick question on using lead free silver solders [comweld 965 ]instead of the 50/50 Any comments Cheers
  11. Thank you for that I'll knock them up now over the weekend. I'm still curious to know if molds are used to make the large barrel stops/ends Cheers
  12. What methods are used to make both ends on new throttle cables [type of solder, brass fittings? etc ] but NOT the screw on clamp type. Cheers
  13. How the heck do you make a nice barrel end like the one in the pic?as that's what I need or similar as the screw crimping method is not suitable Cheers

  15. Found this 1. CASR Part 132 development and improvement Initial development CASR Part 132 will prescribe the regulatory requirements and standards for the approval of operators that provide air experience flights in Australian-registered aircraft, other than those operations that are conducted under a CASR Part 149 organisation. The term 'air experience' in the context of this Part includes 'joy flights' and 'adventure flights' in either normal or limited category aircraft (e.g. 'warbirds'). Air experience flights are usually flights involving the carriage of passengers in aircraft used in trade and commerce, other than flights that are classified as air transport. However, flights in aircraft not used in trade and commerce and operated by, or on behalf of, community groups where CASA believes that some regulatory provisions in addition to the provisions of CASR Part 91 are required in the interests of safety, may also be classified as 'air experience flights' for the purposes of this Part. Air experience flights will be limited to flights: undertaken in an Australian-registered aircraft with a certificated seating capacity of not more than 6, that takeoff and land at the same aerodrome, with no intermediate landing, and that remain within 50NM of that aerodrome during the flight.
  16. (2) For paragraph (1) (b) a flight is an air experience flight if: (a) the purpose of the flight is for each passenger to experience a flight in the aircraft; (b) the procedures manual of the relevant RAAO contains procedures for the authorisation of operators and pilots to conduct air experience flights; © the flight is conducted in accordance with the procedures for air experience flights contained in the procedures manual of the relevant RAAO; (d) each passenger is a member of the RAAO. Note: The purpose of membership for an air experience passenger is to ensure that the passenger has acknowledged that the flight does not meet the safety requirements that would apply to an airline flight and to provide a measure of compulsory insurance protection to the passenger and the RAAO [Whats the diff I wonder] Cheers
  17. It's in the followingNPRM 0603OS Reg 103.010 paragraph 2. Flight experience Cheers
  18. What methods are used to make the [cabi end ] throttle cable ends and the barrel/ball/mushroom type for the other. Which solder is used? etc Cheers
  19. Under the new requirements do passengers have to be RAA members so as to be covered by insurance? Cheers
  20. Tested brakes today and they worked very well.Held on full power and will slow the aircraft nicely without danger of nose diving it and turns are just brilliant.Hopefully they will be durable. Cheers

To order that specific manual what should I specify when ordering [is it the Thruster Two Seat ID Guide Information manual] Cheers
