    I am completely befuddled as to the modus operandi, just where is the expansion. The training and theory is getting to be a replica of the GA schools. The exact reason why AUF was set up, all has all gone only the memories are left. The little rag and strings are basically history. There are still people about who wish to fly and enjoy these little machines. Mention 2Stroke now one gets blank stares.

    Wondering if anyone has heard what is going on? The grape vine has been a bit busy. Jill Bailey has resigned. The CEO has resigned and one of the office staff has taken on the roll. Not sure however someone else could have heard something.

    Hmmmmmmmmm....Pushing the compliance and enforcement component will greatly increase the "Catch Me if You Can" factor. Comes down to simple marketing strategy , One is better off being friends and offering -- than getting out there with a big stick.

    Didn't you hear the dogs barking? All that noise would have told you something...as I have moved on am not that overly bothered any more nearly all has slipped my mind. Why linger on shoddy outcomes plenty of other great things to achieve. However the clear judgement I made at the time will stay with me. KP.

    I beg to differ regarding the RAA members voting regarding transferring into a company. I have on good authority from a current board member (at the time) this process was not done honestly and I have to agree with him as he gave me a set of of circumstances which did not indicate honesty.

    Oi Turbo, We pay membership for that, this situation simply put we are getting less for what we pay for. How would you perform if you went to Woolies and they started giving you a kilo short of what you paid for?

    Air strips are a service to the region, hence the rates. A better question, how much revenue dose the strip bring to the district and emergency service like flying doctor and during floods and fire.

    What are the landing fees for? We pay tax to have public infrastructures, fuel tax where dose that money go. So landing fees are a simple case of double taxing. The government is getting a bit too handy with their taxes. Just like our income tax a percentage of that tax is supposed to go to an aged pension not any more, not even rescinded. Simple case of grab at any cost.

    The airport was there well before all these do gooders turned up. When they bought there the airport was in full operation. Hence there before them or the real estate lied o them.

    Trucks fit into this category. Imagine an electric B-Double, Brisbane to Darwin. OR Is that why there is talk about inland rail?

    That is all OK...CASA is derelict in duty for signing off before all the requirements are not address and compliant. The manuals must be compliant as a requirement of gaining Part 149. How will the process stack up in an audit? If there is any other process -- could be a case of supposed non compliance.

    I am at a loss how did RAAus get granted Part 149 when their manuals are not completed. I am of the view all those manual are to be ticked off before Part 149 is granted. The other missing issue Part 149 is what one is going to do and Part 103 is how one is going to carry out operation. Now Part 103 is now actually a MOS for Part 149, the goal posts have wheels under them. The Glider federation paid a lot of money to have their SMS formulated and the goal posts moved on that one. So happy times. No wonder aviation is going backwards. KP
