  1. Well Aerochute Kev.... I believe you are 100% correct. Yes it will cost resubmit to CASA as it will be a new document. The three documents namely *Constitution *Tech Manual *Ops Manual will all have the same treatment, "Too Expensive to Resubmit" because that will be a waste of money. That has what has been said on this forum many times. For those who have some time which can used to find more inconsistencies there will be few more hidden about manuals. I do wonder why all the secrecy when writing and formulating. CASA can put out a NPRM. I do like the line "Wishful Thinking". KP
  2. Bill, I will play a card which I have never played on this forum. I have tried other alternatives and I received the same response as Frank. What you have mentioned above, is why I am doing what I am doing now. That is how much I will reveal for the moment. You are so very accurate in saying that this is to affordable flying. The flying is getting further and further away from affordability and the actions are disguised as "it is for safety" and CASA is directing the move I say no it is an over kill by RAAus. I would not be able to live with myself if an organisation collapsed because of the incorrectly made decisions. Read what Frank has said "He tried but was ignored". Frank is vary astute when making decisions as he would had done some research into the subject. He dose not shoot from the hip. KP
  3. Hello Frank, They must think the average RAAus member is stupid to try to put that stuff down our necks. Still boggles my mind how something can effectively be taught in from of a computer screen. I will go along with, academic endeavours may be - however subjects which need manual demonstrations I am no for that one. Regarding the L1 course there are people who need to ask questions to verify their though process it is those people who need help in certain areas so they will not fall through the cracks. As it is structured the learning outcome will not be good. KP
  4. Yes just a simple case of reading to reply not reading to understand, nothing else. What has my mind boggled ---- which equation was used so it could be said 90% of the members were in favour. Ummmmmmmm???????. I think there were a few cubed routes multiplied by square routes the is a way to get a half a dozen quickly up to a few thousand. KP.
  5. Little interest for you Frankus.. Have a personal enquiry and broaden your terms of reference to what you have suggested above. Confirm where the individuals collected/gathered/caused to receive the information. Who collected/gathered/caused to receive this information you will be surprised as to the origin. KP
  6. No Don........ The answer is answered in docjel's post.... the post needed to be read to be understood. Not read to make comment. I will write the answer for you.. Just because one goes for a yearly full medical is not a guarantee will they make it through till next year the answer is a big fat "no" as no one can see what is around a corner. All what the post said. KP
  7. Thank you Docjell, that was a great post that will leave a few looking for answers. As you said - what is around the corner can not predicted with out history, warning signs, could be the answer. KP
  8. Yes "vacated" indicates the runway is empty of your aircraft.. "Clear" is used by the towers "Clear to land" "Clear to take off" or communication on the ground e.g. "Yes you are clear go to taxi way" indicating you as a pilot are aware of another aircraft is operating on the ground as well or coming into land. KP.
  9. As yet no one has said here, If you are stuck for words, just speak simple English. (That was in a safety brief I saw some where). KP.
  10. Do not feel guilty about saying things wrong, I fly in and out of regional airport there is not a day passes that a Qantas pilot does not make a stuff up yep Qantas. Virgin are a little less frequent however they are on the list for stuff ups as well. DO NOT FEAL GUILTY. KP
  11. Just relax and do not get embarrassed with a pause while you think. The other "Do not rattle things off like a machine gun" most people find that hard to understand. Just consider what the others want to know from you and some - their hearing is on the wain. Think and slow will be absolutely excellent, those who think you are a bit slow they can bite their ask at least you are being clear......... AND....... Practice as you drive is an excellent practicing technique. All the best, KP.
  12. You are a breath of fresh air, education and culture training. (Great to see.) I will add more - we need face to face education not news letters as Don is saying. The case being, with reading one (student) can not always understand the gist of the exercise however with a presenter, the presenter can verify that the correct message is getting out to the pilots. I am advocating sitting down face to face and getting class involvement presenting that education will develop a culture people will remember and it will go viral. People (students) will give up when there is only reading. What I have found when training , people do have to ask questions to confirm and verify their thought track. The other important aspect confirm that the answer has answered the question. Quite often the question we here is not the information you are being asked, just us being humans. When one has achieved that -- there is your safety -- it is just a by product. So simple not SAFETY,SAFETY,SAFETY,SAFETY,SAFETY,SAFETY. KP
  13. Did not take them long, Eh Frank. KP
  14. As I said in a previous post I am not contributing any more to these posts. It was a case of reading to reply not a case of reading to understand. I have enough to keep my self busy other than waste my time here. Trying to explain points. KP.
  15. See you all later I am gone. KP
  16. If there is a wrong one has to stand up and endeavour to correct the wrong. Quite often there is a silent group and they have to be supported, we all can look the other way and walk on but nothing is corrected. Hence I am helping with a correction, so no one else has done much. I have been bagged for standing up for these people. I can honestly say I have done my bit. KP
  17. Not bagging Yen.. high lighting some hypocrisy. Some people have forgotten these facts. One can not go about criticising in one instance and commit the same act just around the corner if not worse. ummmmmm. KP
  18. I am speaking as a member of RAAus. Hence I am entitaled to have an opinion or do you think I should not have a view and just go away and hide. I can remember what happened to the board members not that long ago and I thought the treatment was disgraceful. KP
  19. Fact hunter you missed the point.. This is point I wish to bring to the front. I touched on it quite strongly in my post, how Middo had legal help at a meeting now it is happening again. A number of the ones making a lot of noise back then are on the board now. So what is the difference at least back then motions could be moved from the floor, however now all this can not happen. In Bundaberg motions could not be moved from the floor so it has been happening for a while. I will not let that one go as life is worse in that respect as demonstrated in kaspers post, consider Ian's post there is more evidence. What has Rod a board member told us? KP
  20. Regarding Kasper's post #120. Only what I can say in that case "hypocrites". What hypocrisy, should have heard the noise when Middo brought legal help to a meeting. The rumblings regarding that attendance continued till not that long ago. Last bit of information --The current president was attempting to contact Steve Runciman regarding payment and reason for attending with legal aid. That is the last information I have heard no mention of late - not interested. I special point of observation:- Some of this current board and their cronies were the ones who yelled the longest and hardest regarding the legal attendance hence "hypocrites". How disgraceful, a members concerns not being addressed, he was shut down, that just gives resentment more traction. What they (Board/Management) do not realise a number of silent members have the same view, how are those members views going to be addressed. I guess under the carpet with rest of the issues. I do ask what happens when the carpet gets that lumpy and no one can walk on it? KP
  21. If those keys were seen loitering beside a Brumby they may be charged with loitering with intent. Check the cop shop charge sheet.
  22. Yep pollies sitting on their fat ask telling us what to do. These fat lounge cats are not bothered about going to see what us people, they sit back and tell us what they think is good. The producer/industry/society groups political arm is basically useless, it is just an echo for the political parties which are in power at the time. KP
  23. I thought this thread was about getting some metal, making it into a shape, put the shapes together and make an engine. Only position for silicone valley is the CNC machines. I am wondering how the silicone valley products can swing a prop? We need some perspiration involved with the exercise. KP
  24. For my way of thinking Australian manufacturing slid down the hill ever so quickly when this level playing field concept came to vogue. What we are forgetting Australia is on the level field and is competing with tariffs and sudsidised manufacturing. How can we survive? Only what we get here is regulations which make business hard to operate unles we put in expensive business infrastructure. KP
  25. cscotthendry. I can not give you enough ticks for that comment. The pollies sit on their hands and do nothing. No wonder the Australians are getting sick of just paying. KP
