  1. I can imagine the report for the absent friends, imagine the slant on the interpretation. KP
  2. Some answers with my personal interpretation and views expressed by myself. I say yes for the first question. You should remember the noise on this forum the board at the time was not doing a thing correctly. The mob as I say were not saying anything positive all was wrong. Normally some things should be correct, in this case nothing. Yes again to direction it is only in their view that things are correct. Here step back drop your emotion get out of your area then have a look and listen. Things are not happy about the RAAus movement. Numbers at Queanbeyan well that is a high density area and easy for some people to get along, just a bit of a geography update Sydney down the hill, Canberra up the hill, Victoria down the road, west and north up the road a bit.. Now Nth. Qld two change of planes or two days drive. Rest of Qld a drive and one plane ride. WA that is an excursion as of SA as well. At the Queanbeyan meeting the number of people there was only a small representation, rest of the quiet majority were absent because of the great distances and cost to get there. What I can not work out, a lot of these people who live away from the high density area are happy and the ones in the high density area are disgruntled, Why? Hostile take over.. As I see the situation there was a number of people in a small area (Australian) who moved and were voted on the board. The board at the time was dead locked with their voting so really nothing could be done hence I think that is very unfair saying the board was no good. My interpretation of the Queanbeyan meeting - the members exercising their right organised the hostile. If I am thinking like this - there are other people who would have the same view. Hope this a sera your questions gandalph. KP.
  3. What I did omit in my last post.. They wanted change because that what the small little mob of hostile experts wanted. Now they have it they are now struggling as what to do next. We will see.. What will be interesting is when the rest of the $1m has gone, then there will be massive fee increases. Regards, KP
  4. Oh! Gandalph the mob who wanted to get rid of the old board, looks like they just wanted to get rid of the old board because to me it looks like they are now stuck as to what to do next. As Ian said it was a hostile take over, because they are now stuck with their next move. Their idealistic views and plans are not the be all and end all. To me the only thing which has happened the surplus has gone the magazine has gone and there is glitz about the place. People are still moaning so something is not correct. Because there is a lot of shut up this is what we are doing, what members organisation? $2m dollars in two years is not bad going. I would like to know what the current state of affairs is. Regards, KP
  5. Relax.. I will put a muzzle on you.. Will that help.? Regards, KP
  6. Well put Ian.. I like that one "Hostile take over". and that mob think they are so perfect. Members leaving.. Fees going up.. Members are not considered.. What next? KP
  7. Callide Dawson Flying Group is having their bi-annual fly in on the 22-24 July. At Thangool airport. Racing will be one of the activities of choice. Come along and join in on the Saturday afternoon, the races are on for those who like a punt, if you like the races there will be a bus running which will take you to and from the races. There will be market stalls, food, drink, entertainment, friendship and etc.etc.. There will be NO LANDING fees. Just new, there is bowser fuel Avgas and JetA swipe your card and pump, so simple no call out fees. Regards, Keith Page.
  8. The magazine has never been free. Cost of the magazine WAS incorporated in the membership. With the magazine taken out of our benifits well that is cost of membership increase. What is the cost of running our computers we are paying that plus the down load data "We pay for that" not RAAus so that is delivered to us free of charge to RAAus hence there is more membership increase. ALSO when we buy the paper copy it is only half the size it used to be. Planes for sale section gone. Everything is diminishing except our membership and rego fees.. Regards, KP.
  9. Frank I can read between those lines actually I say it is more like a neon sign. (1) the surplus is being eaten away at a great rate of knots. (2) Membership and registration will be going up at a great rate as well. I think my thoughts would be 100% accurate. With those two issues considered those who want a smaller surplus will be very happy. I will not be, as our affordable flying will be gone with their mini GA and mini GA maintenance. Regards, KP.
  10. DAS please translate.. Need to be sure of the correct interpretation. KP.
  11. What Neil is saying the goal posts are moving, but not moving a little bit, they have wheels under them, more like super movers. KP.
  12. I can remember Maj. going on about those batteries about two years ago yes two (2) ago and how he sent a letter into the tech.department regarding such. Well I have to say they are not real quick on getting the information to the members or was he ignored? KP.
  13. Thank you Ian, I have mentioned two or three times that the management runs about playing police officers as where they should be running about promoting and playing diplomats for RAAus. Oh! Gosh should see the replies saying that is all not true, that is police officer roles. Just a question to help in some decisions:- Is the new constitution is up and running and we are operating under it? The other important point it is getting quite obvious why the disciplinary procedure is so important, just another avenue to whack the members. KP.
  14. Yes Turbo, Don dose need congratulating for the intensity of his YES campaign, congratulations Don. However why did he resign the minute the YES vote wins. Just like having a battle to arrive at your destination and not hanging around and enjoying ones efforts. KP.
  15. There is a one line statement which I never use but I hope I will never need to use it in this case. "I told you so" Regards, KP.
  16. Thank you Don..
  17. How will staff remuneration be affected? Not for profit organisation to a company. Will there be pay roll tax? KP.
  18. I can get you a copy then you can print them out as you need them. Regards, KP
  19. Andy you have answered it for me, by dodging the question. Just wondering if there is some up to date financial snippets about. Heard on the grape vine costs have blown out just wondering by how much, 5 months ago is not the correct answer. Regards, KP
  20. Thank you Turbo.. I am expecting that treatment as I am endeavour to get the truth to surface. You know when one whacks the critters enough they leak truth. The most interesting post was Rod and he was answered with """Lies"""". I am stuck here as he would have made his statement on his side of truth so with that in mind all the statements made on this forum regard the constitution would come under lies and need verifying as to who is tell the undistorted truth. Now for the big one I suspect very much that there was a campaign of soliciting a YES vote out of all and sundry, but proving it will be impossible. Gathered by other little snipets outside this forum. No mention of the financial situation, or are they hoping no one will ask? Regards KP
  21. Has anyone received some financial information? Wondering how RAAus is sitting in the finance stakes. Has been very quiet. Seeing there is a big drop in membership funds could be very tight. Any answers? Regards, KP
  22. Could we say you were at wits end and let give this a go, would that be an appropriate statement to cover the situation? KP.
  23. Good on you DWF you are thinking about how the constitution can be manipulated. I do not think those board members are that self interested they know what is store for us. It is not water tight or there abouts, are places one can a drive double decker bus through. I still can not see why the urgency (now), why not wait and have the constitution correct. The urgency bit needs to be questioned. KP
  24. As you say RAAus will have to grow and prosper.. If RAAus dose not do that, there will be a lot of people who will have a please explain note. I am concerned as to what is not told to us, what generates this doubt more is that 6 board members voted against the change. Well it just got through at board level. When one is out selling something they do not tell the bad points, they exaggerate the good points. With a result like that RAAus could disintegrate because of the unhappy people. I have to say there will be adverse repercussions with unhappy people and there will be control on that behaviour. Now is the time for the YES people to get out, sell and prove the yes and have no shonks in the would pile anywhere. One good one, which has the membership riled up is how the magazine was restructured and that was put through as saving money. I hope no more shonks like that will surface. KP
  25. I just want to illiminate the temptation of vote rigging with the three. Remember there are alterations to the constitution to happen, so where can that end up with three driving the alterations? KP
