  1. Rossi Valentino is the furry ones name as she loves to ride like her namesake. She has three legs and a titanium hip, attacked by a bad Rottie when 3yo. Fearless but smart, the rottie scored a huge gash in its face. She was the first to survive such injury and Sydney uni experimented to save her, as her will to live was immense. They had never done such small hip work before. Her mate Monty also a longhair only passed 6 weeks ago, at the young age of 19 years 4 months. Happy to the end. He loved cats until he was 16 he never met one he couldn't catch, he never hurt them just loved the chase, capture and lick. Also a champion ratter. Once I came home to five dead rats lined up nose to tail in front of the great white god as sacrifices - the fridge. He killed hundreds of big bad rats, never a blood mark on them. Always a fast broken neck, some still standing but dead. Was always a laugh riding the horse with big goat following and two chihuahua leading. Monty also loved riding, one dog each side in a back pack heads on my shoulders. They also spent most of their lives as therapy helpers for disability work. Amazing nature and never biters or noisy. My furr kids
  2. Running a business attitude is why we have problems in my view.
  3. Not a aircraft.but my long hair chihuahua absolutely loves motorbikes She is happy in the tank bag, in a backpack or a gearsak on the rack.As long as she has her head out. Loves all the smells and looking at amazed car drivers, always gets big smiles. She is 18 and still is up for it.
  4. Ugly Stik is also the name of a very popular rudder bar extension for sailing and a name of fishing rods.
  5. Another reason not to gear up land a lightning is the fuel is in a ventral tank, so fire is a massive risk.
  6. I have friends in very low places. Oh sh*t the goons are at the door,.........
  7. Have you tried the new email I posted? If he must do wood, then Texas parasol would be good.
  8. The customers know- That is definitely no longer a Virgin- its F***ed.
  9. Holly Rene Robertson Journalist Cambodia Times in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. holly.rene.robertson@gmail.com Got to love Google- sometimes
  10. No worries, I have found her. She is a reporter for the Cambodia Daily and a Aussie. I will post her details in 10 when back at desk.
  11. Industrial bolt supplier is at Windsor, name escapes me, look on Google.
  12. Get him to join this site would be a good start and home built airplanes.com. If he speaks English, if not Google translate helps. A wooden design like mini Max with free plans would be a good start, he has a V twin and redrive already. Suitable wood should be available in Cambodia cheaply. Wood is the best candidate for his local. Some knowledge on physics of flight would help a great deal. That is where I would start, need to get in contact through BBC I guess.
  13. Maybe try Ole Hartmann at AAK Taree. He should be able to help or point you to someone who can.
  14. Hi Carlos, How about some shows on local manufacturers like AAK at Taree. Lots going on and might get the word out to buyers overseas. Same with Jabiru and Protected etc.celebrate the locals. Just a thought. Keep up the great work
  15. That must be the "yellow peril". That Howard was worried about
  16. Both are great ,. The Jabbawocky are my choice
  17. A case of he/she with the biggest bladder wins.
  18. Great Goulburn girl, one of the noteworthy locals. As is George Lazenby aka James Bond. And some forgettable ones like me.
  19. Aero commander..........drool
  20. True but it is cheaper to go RAA then upgrade and you have more experience more hours same costs etc. I am sure it made sense for him to go with avion as they have sponsored him I am sure. They can afford a marketing budget to suit.
  21. I can see the school's view but as a industry and sport the RAA needs to be pushed as the starting point that is cheaper and less intimidating for potential flyers. Given the cost of many school and after school stuff like sport, a rec cert is not out of the question for many. A high school down south coast NSW was doing something like this. Given the option of a flying course or business studies, I think It is a no brainier.
  22. Yes a damn lucky lucky lucky ...........barstard. Sponsorship and crowd funding are much easier these days - but he may still have to pay something. But a well done facetwitt campaign as he goes should sort him out. Now how can I get folks to pay a greying bloke like me to do the same? I will fly anything that stays off the ground but the slower ones mean more stops, more beer as consumables. I will happily do talks on anything to anyone if that helps. Any sponsors?
  23. I like anything above stall speed plus 10 knots, being in the air is what counts. But if doing the big circuit of Oz, speed on a tank full does reduce fatigue and is better on the bladder. It is a long way and extra distance per hour is your friend. I always like a bit of grunt and range in reserve for comfort. 30 plus years of motorbikes has taught me that. A bit like touring on a 250 compared to a BMW flat twin, both fun but one is much more relaxed to really enjoy the trip, at any speed. Mind you I am happy to have a postie bike with wings.
  24. Catholic actually . At school we called em penguins. I will just go back to my box.
  25. Sounds good. But you need lube when giving a Nun a squirrel or use a muffle.
