  1. Amazing reading back through this after 3 years.. almost 300 hours clocked up now! On way to QLD next week.. bring on Murwillumbah.. Who would ever think! Looking forward to taking the 6 cyl Bristell for a 3 hour stint.
  2. Heard on NSW FIRE, and other sources, VH-DHL had a wheels up belly landing at Cobar this afternoon. Unsure is pilot alright, or if Pax onboard. Manufacturer: BEECH AIRCRAFT CORP Model: 35-33 Serial number: CD-116 Aircraft first registered in Australia: 24 June 1960 Year of manufacture: 1960
  3. Sorry i didnt see this comment. I used a suction cup attached to camera underneath wing, stays attached as long as you do above 8000 ft, pressure difference will release it quick smart, i learnt hard way losing one over Blue mtns. Some guys have a way to secure them if the suction does let go. So good to see view from out on wing no window to obstruct the perfect view.

  5. This can easily get 135 TAS . When you stick the 6 cyl jab in , instead of Rotax, will get some good performance.
  6. Thanks guys for all the comments.. Im very fussy with radio calls, ive listened to ATC for most of my life, which does help too. ONe must be clear and just say what has to be said and get off. This panel is just a dream to look at .. Recently flew with Owner from Bathurst to Tyabb in Vic, 3.5 hours, landed at Corowa for fuel and then i did second leg to Tyabb.. I also gave the Autopilot a quick try, works a wonder, held ALT and heading perfectly. I do have some more pics of the cockpit, so much info available. All engine info is now displayed on EFIS, although still have analogue for CHT and EGT. If anyone ever make a trip to Bathurst, give Central West Flying a call and the CFI or myself when instructor rating is completed, only too happy to take people for a spin. This aircraft not for Ab Intio hire, only full pilots, plenty of RA conversions being done as well. Once seated in this comfy beast, you do not want to get out. haha. Cheers Dave

  13. Ive had a thought of those who could help in getting this working, a live CTAF - Ground frequency ,via scanner to the internet for those who are avid ATC listeners and would like to hear Temora from afar.. Anyone who has spare pc, scanner radio who will be there from Friday, if not, i will arrive from 9am on Sat 30th. Temora council also providing free WIFI at Temora, a bonus. I can be emailed on [email protected] or 0408863956 , if one can help .

  24. Just saw this report on Seven news ! A police guard remains at the site of a helicopter crash, near Mudgee, in which a man died. Emergency services were alerted to the crash about 11am today (9 December) when the wreckage of the Robin44 aircraft was found in steep and rugged bushland at Grattai, about 25km south-west of Mudgee. The pilot, a 48-year-old man from the local area, died at the scene. A crime scene was established and has been preserved overnight; it will be examined by NSW Police Force air crash investigators and officials from the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) tomorrow. It’s believed the man was spraying weeds.
