my jab engine, for that matter all aero engines........use oil, its apparently normal. If our motor vehicles consumed oil at the same rate, we'd be concerned. ( my toyota from 1 service to the next, uses next to nothing ) So.........why are we using oil in our well maintained 4 stroke engines. ( puzzles me )

couple more pics resort below above resort, strip in the distance....they pick you up, buzz resort low breky table and chairs forgot.........you can camp, or choose acomm style you prefer....cabins, safari tent thingos, railway carriages, ( cabins have A/C ) swimming pool, several walking tracks to points...........yea, nice place. One tube, you enter at dusk, thousands of micro bats, and bent wing bats are exiting for their nightly foraging, they zip past your heads by millimeters, the odd one clips the rim of your hat going past.........then the bleedin guide gets you to look above you, he then turns on his red lensed torch........the women scream, you shyte yourself.....there's 6....8...10 bleedin snakes hanging off tree branches close enough to your heads to touch the mongrels......they're catching bats as they fly past........i can laugh now

well worth the trip, excellent staff, great acomm, licensed restaurant, great food, campfire yarns,music, etc, every night, breky open fire cooked for you, with PROPER coffee

called and joined circuit for downwind runway*** then radio cackles chap calls downwind same runway, all clear in front of me, so i assumed he was behind. I call and turn base, then turn finals.....bugger me he's under me also on finals......maaate, what are you doing.... he responds .....he's downwind, maaate, you are on finals, no he says, he's downwind of the runway.

1st 2 are enroute pics, 3rd pic is the entrance to a cave on sweers island where chap "Landsborough " carved dates, names ( he and wife ) back 1866, when they lived on the island back then. ( Landsborough Hwy named after him )

Being a gyro enthusiast for near on 40 yrs, reading some "comments " here, i'd be interested to know the expertise, gyro related, to some statements here. Just for the record.........xwinds are a non issue. Composites done correctly are near on infinite. ( flexing etc without degradation is excellent ) composite rotor blades have been used now for 20 plus yrs, still going strong...... And..........they flex.....constantly. Coupled with lead lag forces, they don't just spin around. There is serious stuff going on regarding all composite rotorcraft, it has some folks licking their lips in anticipation. "Records" of endurance etc etc are mostly held by " little wing" tail dragger gyros, example of one is hangered YCAB. Factory built gyros.......turn key, machines are almost the norm now. All imported. Metals such as titanium are now used as " the airframe " in some models. Most imports cruise all day around 80kts, Rotax the choice of engine. Gyros now, to yester yrs, is comparing apples to oranges.

How we've not bumped into each other way back then surprises me, was all over same areas, same yrs etc. Info......hells gate is near on folded, am told it's poor management driving folks away ( attitude etc ) ......stupid. Another real interesting place, not far away is "lost city", rock formations amazing.....pics coming. As to " plonking me jab down" etc etc.....forget about that. ( pity ) There are times one begs for tundra tyres, and 20m liftoffs.....dream on.

sourced the problem...........blowback bottle full as......why, i was overfilling due to long enroute legs. Starting these long legs with oil level barely up the dipstick worried me, hence more oil in the sump. compressions, pull throughs all good.

Bad.............nar, just dropped in to say Gday. ( bet security guys are now ducking for cover ) told ya, gyros can land in your own backyard, and sneak in reeel low. Love it.

brilliant solar hot water system, you add those blue heater tubes as required to achieve tank temp. Tubes do not have water in them,only the tank, tubes have electro conductor elements.....nothing corrodes, its only metres from the oceon. Strip at rear Burke and Wills R/H Road out front even better, single powerline across road out front.
