  1. Last I heard from Jabiru they were still working on the details and pricing. They will be starting the production soon so hopefully they work it out soon. I'll follow up asap...
  2. It's going to be factory built. They don't have a price list yet, waiting for that but when I talked to them at Natfly they were working on an installation. Saw the demo unit at natfly and was impressed. I also sent a note on the forum for PocketFMS and they MIGHT be creating an upload for their flight planning software. Can't wait, just have to make sure I fly the plane.
  3. I'll tell you in August when I get mine in a J230...
  4. Thanks, found the option. Just didn't look hard enough. I use PocketFMS normally.
  5. telstra Sorry, I shouldn't have left you guessing. The previous post is right. I pay a huge premium for it to just work everywhere and well. Not just in the country area and the air but Sydney as well. I have friends on other providers that have troubles and I can't even get Optus in my flat which was the reason for swapping over. It's just sad Telstra always make it seem you are getting a good deal but all you're getting is better coverage which for me was what I needed. My business runs from my phone. Other apps I use. (I have a page on the phone just for aviation) Aeroweather - not bad but for some reason doesn't pick up Bankstown Flightplan - Really is a toolbox but I haven't really used it iE6B - Haven't really used it CoPilot - pretty good for a quick flight plan. As long as it picks up weather AirCheck - great for checklists and you can make them up on the web to be shared Nav Clock - Very nice zulu clock with some weather V-Cockpit - nice gadget like iHud NAIPS - great for weather and lodging iHud - very nice but I think I will rely on the Dynon Air Nav Pro - An alternative to CoPilot but no maps :( Windfinder - mainly for sailing but nice anyway Car Finder (if you've lost your airplane) :laugh
  6. quick radar Talking of the iPhone, my friend had his with Optus and I with Telstra. Guess who had the best reception most of the way. Last October flying back to Sydney from Ballarat There were some dirty storms brewing so I pulled out the iPhone and had a saved bookmark on my home screen and checked the BOM radar while flying, Very handy. Turned to Temora and stayed the night. Got to see Temora for my first time and hopefully again at easter.

    Brumby A/C

story on the brumby The Brumby | This guy was interviewed on the plane Crazy Downunder podcast.
  8. CTA I think the talk was on Tuesday and they got the announcement wrong on Friday over the PA. Why Thursday? I thought most people would be there on the Friday and that would be a better day for such an important issue. Anyway, I'm disappointed by the delay since Hoxton Park was closed and the school went to a GAAP airport so my closest airport is ages away.
  9. I wonder how this compares to PocketFMS. I've been using FMS for a while but I like your screen shots, they seem more useful than FMS.
  10. radio I found they didn't work for the bluetooth unless the radio was on.
  11. Mudgee as well My friend from Mudgee showed me a article in the local paper saying that BP was leaving them and the closest is Bathurst.

    Jabi simulator

Using X-Plane try this one http://www.c74.net/xplane/_a_J_SP4.html I bought this one and seems to work fine. It says not to modify but I made the cockpit the same as the one I fly with planemaker. Nothing beats flying the real thing though.
