  1. Can't get the link to work.
  2. Nice and clear and not jerky, well done.
  3. ASIC = "I'm a nice person verified"
  4. I like RC flying that looks scale even though that plane doesn't look real.
  5. That seems like a better concept than a multirotor drone. No exposed blades as well. I wonder if it uses less power.
  6. I think straight in approaches to an airshow or high traffic is not a good idea in general. Also, he relied on unicom for traffic and they could've been wrong. Anyway, the plane on base had the right of way so add that all up, doing a normal circuit pattern should have been the preferred option.
  7. I had one where I didn't hear anything from other 2 other aircraft till I was surprised to see them in the circuit and only when I called them did they respond.
  8. Funny you mention "Pen Tested" because I've never been asked airside unless a couple of airports trying to get out the gate and you need to call a number. They only asked for the card number.
  9. I like when the flying looks scale. impressive models.
  10. Actually just noticed lately my Avplan track jumps (Not the internet connection, my aircraft). I wonder if the Skyecho is keeping the GPS connection or it could be the wifi dropping. Hard to pinpoint unless I catch it in the process.
  11. That would be an interesting poll, ADSB out in ultralights.
  12. You could also debate whether RAAUS is a direction towards recreational GA.
  13. From memory I chose option 1 to keep maximum altitude during the flight. Option 2 is too close to trust your GPS and option 3 is too low and putting trust in the GPS again I think.

  15. That was Coffs wasn't it? That would be nice as well to be able to transit their airspace somehow.
  16. Still no good for RAAUS through the coastal lane.
  17. Still at Wedderburn, been sitting on the grass for ages. Haven't seen it fly till I saw that video.
  18. https://www.jetphotos.com Where do the photos of aircraft displayed on Flightradar24 come from? Photos displayed for each aircraft come from JetPhotos. If you’d like your photos to appear on Flightradar24, please submit them to JetPhotos. Added extra FAQ I uploaded a photo of an aircraft to Jetphotos, why is it not showing on Flightradar24? All photos go through a screening process where the JetPhotos screening team will ensure that photos meet the required JetPhotos standards. If your photo has not yet been screened it will not be displayed. Flightradar24 displays the newest photos (sorted by photograph date) to ensure that latest photos of an aircraft are displayed to users. Photos not showing the paint scheme completely, such as silhouettes and close ups will be excluded. Some photograph categories are also excluded from display on Flightradar24. For example, any photographs that are categorized as "cabin", "wing view", "cockpit", or "exclude from Flightradar24" will not be shown.
  19. Just finished reading the aricle in Australian Flying, very useful info. Amazing what you find on reading different threads.
  20. But I remember reading somewhere that ATC needed a software update to see skyecho devices.
  21. I thought they were upgrading to do that but I didn't know they could do it yet.
  22. I'm also looking into getting some lenses but can't get in contact with my optometrist. https://www.vr-wave.store
  23. Never enough hours in the Jab, my wife used to treat it like a station wagon. Lately lockdown doesn't help and I can't even get to the airport at all. I saw there is an airport at Mallacoota. Anyway, the screen doesn't really matter, I only use it for basic setup before switching to VR. I set a shortcut in X-Plane to turn on vr and off. Funny, last night the cable for headphones normally unplugged coming from the headset was interfering with the sensors and made for stuttered images. Glad I worked that out. I understand about the PC, way too many options. Take a look at youtube https://www.youtube.com/user/col2mab As for the headset, Oculus is owned by Facebook if that's not an issue. I heard HP are pretty good but I'm going to stick with HTC for the moment if I had to upgrade. One final thing, you can tell if you need to adjust the graphics settings in VR if you are getting sick from the jitters in the graphaics. I tried everything max and got sick.
