  1. Yeah it was good too lights, but I was a bit disappointed with a few scenes in it where they tried to pass obvious cgi off as real footage
  2. at this stage mike, i'll be looking for a savannah, if i can get a tw endo, maybe a hornet or something similar. so yeah, most likely, high wing
  3. yeah hopefully i will have my own property mick.. thats the plan anyways :)
  4. I've gotten tuned up over the radio for making too many calls by an annonymous station. I was making ALL calls at a non radio mandatory airstrip. I still make all calls. I also generally say "traffic location" rather then "location traffic", primarily due to the close proximity of a few other airstrips, and if you clip your transmission a bit, all other monitoring the ctaf will hear is "traffic". I hear a lot of pilots, and I use that name loosely, who do not abide by ANY standard radio syntax, and are flat out getting their call sign right. And not just raaus. On that note, I do make mistakes as well. Just some professionalism is needed.

  13. yeah not really wanting to buy one at this stage mike, just wondering about rental cost
  14. as per thread title.. I'll find out this week hopefully if a vacancy of a hangar is coming up at a strip near me. What do you knowledgable folk reckon a 12x12 hangar (ithink) at a non-serviced airstrip would be worth?
  15. if we are going realistic, for me at the moment, it would be a Savannah or a AAK Hornet.. seen a hornet at monto, and loved it.. bulk room in there
  16. Beech Staggerwing for me or a cessna 195 or something a little newer? vans rv8
  17. what would i like to see? People actually using it! there are so many airfeilds around the place that are under/never used! other then that... Did anyone mention an airport car ala what they do in the good ole' U S of A? Avgas and Mogas on tap (lot of cost there though with internally bunded fuel tanks and the like.)
  18. aviate? be prepared to wait
  19. as soon as i get my gopro, i should have some nice cockpit footage :)
  20. I'm glad they are looking after to you mate. Us low time pilots have enough on our plates without worrying if the fan is gunna stop lol. As an aside, I've spent a few years in the car industry, and they do in fact send out nation (and sometimes world) wide recalls on vehicles to replace parts/engines/diffs/etc because a small minority could be effected. One that springs to mind was the fuel hose recall on VZ v6 commodores. I think one leaked somewhere causing a fire, so every vz within a certain VIN range had the recall. Thousands of vehicles. As they should too.
