    Has any one done training at geraldton flight school and how did u find it if u have. Is this the only flight school around this area if I am situated at Monkey Mia shark bay. Very keen to get back up in the air Monkey Mia has a great air port but no flight school or air craft hire :-( please help thanks jay

    Ok as I have only flown at warnervale and one nav to scone, how do I go about flying at other air strips eg will be in margret river in 1 week and want to go for a fly. Is it easy to hire a plane at most places and what are the step one should take with little experience out side Warnervale. Love to here what peoples first flights were and how u went away from your local strip thanks jay......

    I agree with country kid. If it is managed properly I can't see the issue most events are held at night have some One man the radios, if all the insurances are in place I think it could keep a lot of airstrips open with getting more use out of them

    I am glad have done my first nav I think that it will help put all the dots together. Got a good teacher young Andrew from warnervale air, i have done most of my flying with him as well.

    I Started my 16 sunday weekly PPL theory class at warnervale air today. I was just wondering how many people were self-taught and took the exam or did you do the theory ina class room and how did you go. Today started with 4 hours learning how to use the whizz wheel. Think i got the hang of it now. Next week is on to time.

    I love gadgets and things that move with dials and things that light up. I have a tag watch and love it. The other week I was in Sydney and i have heard off this watch that has a flight computer that rotates around the outer clock face. Straight away I was like hhmm got to get me one of those I think the brand is a Breitling. I found the shop at darling habour that sells it and had a look at it. I have pretty good eye sight and be buggered if I would be able to use it while flying let a loan being able to read it. I was very quick to hand it back when asking the price as the gentle man smiled and said with today's 30% sale it would be $9 999. I think it is just more of a show and anytime I have flown I have just used the clock in the cockpit. Ps I am not seasoned or done many navs yet so I am interested to see what is said aswell.

    I opened up a Thread this morning about the medias coverage on a QANTAS storie using the wrong pictures in the news footage.(that ruffled my feathers). . This has bought out a lot of stories and interesting facts on QANTAS and it's affect on other companies in Australia. So I am just wondering what all of your thoughts and stories good and bad on QANTAS. and if you would like to share them with us all !!!!

    Please see previous pages Aussie Carl lol on spelling "Jayz it makes me more mad to know that you don't know how to spell QANTAS. It stands for Queensland And Northern Territory Aerial Service. " Are u a teacher English teacher davidmason1 if so I wish you were my teacher at Kingaroy State School!!!

    Wow thats bad to read that about Rex and QANTAS link, to be true i have only flown QANTAS once and that was from Brisbane to bundaberg. I have always found them to expensive.

    Hi Carl great little idea. When I did my first solo and nav I was wanting to record it and this would have been great just for that please let us know where u Got it from and some pics as I will be straight on to it..for $40 a video to show mates is better than tring to explain it

    Lmao that's a good one. Some of them have no idea and as blackrod said about the looting in QLD one of those guys was actuly saving his friends boat who's car had already been washed away get the facts right before running a 5 minute story with faulse info and pictures.. My main reason for this post it just that the reporter in the QANTAS ( there spelt it corect and saved to spell check ) news footage is showing the airbus engine with the side blown out of it while saying that the passengers of the 747 seen black smoke poring from the engine.

    I have always been a very bad speller, I have a restaurant in gosford on the central coast and I dare not to ever write the specials on the board any more the few times I have we have a school very close by and will always get a teacher in or a custom that will say " you have spelt snitzle wrong it's schnitzel!!! I always reply with " well it got you to read the special board didn't it" lol
