They probably just get it sole'd and eel'dI wonder how many landings they get before they have to repaint the keel. -
Be hard not to have Marty. The speed and accuracy of fabrication is amazing.

We learn something every day Mick.
If you were Irish, the rag would need a knot in each corner.
PS Not seen any of your wonderful r/c models lately.

Looks Brilliant!
I think our mate Marty from Tassie needs a holiday over your way, but that may spoil his fun. I admire what he's achieving as well.

Rumor has it that Pilot Shop which always has our interests at heart, may be considering stocking protective- headware for the benefit of those who fly low wing aircraft in Aussie summer conditions, to keep that burning sun at bay.
If popular, a wide range could be available
- The "Sportstar Special". (also available in pink)
or, For The Bonanza set, there's "The Gatsby" to look real cool!
50+ block-out also to be available for the less fashion conscious?

, good to hear from you, tell us more. If you own an Auster, we'd love to hear more about it, and it's owner.
-
WOW! that looks intriguing, but we all know that you enjoy keeping us in suspense, or wondering whether you'll ever be fitting coil-overs to keep it flat in a ground-loop situation.
-
Good on you Bex, that's really starting to look good mate.
Do you have any projections of what the finished product will possibly look like?

Think he's going back down the ladder and gonna do it in the morning, because they are a couple of bums short on the seats to make the flight profitable enough.
-
Be patient guys, someone gave him a tin of Eclipse mints, you know, those blue one's. He's probably a bit confused, and thinks they are something a lot more more exciting!

Yea, but it's something to think about on a hot sleepless night! They wouldnt allow this in Aust & IF they did think of all the carrying capacity you lose after fitting airbags, turn indicators, brake lights, stereo system for the doof doof music, spare wheel. Oops no weight left for the Pilot, This is crazy talk you dreamers LOL-

The trees are dropping more than leaves and bark - huge branches have fallen from several trees in my area. Would crush a car if one were under them.
Can I park my car in the shade of your tree's Spacesaver please. I could do with a newie?

Great video, thanks for posting it.

whinges, but no malice intended. meanwhile, did storchy ever tell you how well his storch ran on avgas and H2O. That's no Bull, Bull, I have a photo of him topping it up before escaping Narrow Mine in inclement weather. Can't beat those rotary axes.

There's an old saying something along the lines of "put your money where your mouth is if you have something worthwhile to offer'. In other words, please be a more specific.
Inuendo's don't normally achieve much, other than to stir a few people up.
We all really appreciate something constructive to help us be safer.

Very sad outcome, especially on Australia Day when most people are supposed to be happy and enjoying themselves.
RIP to those on board, and heartfelt thoughts for family and friends close to them.

British Airways Airbus A318 flies over the heart of London to land at London City Airport from JFK.
I reckon the runway U-turn is the most spectacular part!
This is a fascinating insight into how BA manages to provide this service.
For those not in the know, the BA 318 leaves London City bound for New York JFK via Ireland. She tech stops in Ireland for fuel but the passengers clear customs and immigration at this point to utilise the fuelling time.
It therefore lands in the US as a domestic flight and passengers are through the airport in minutes.
Filmed from the cockpit this month: Using a steep approach a British Airways Airbus A318 flies over the heart of London to land at London City Airport from JFK.

Welcome to the forums Frans. Sounds like you're doing just fine. I had some contact with a Kiwi guy who flew a trike out of Harvey Bay some while back, but haven't heard anything from him for quite a long time. I wonder whether the strip he used has closed because of more commercial flights or maybe he's gone back home. I remember seeing him fly around Frazer Island while I was up there on holiday, and yearned to be up there with him.

"Lexophile" is a term used for someone who has a way with words, such as, you can tune a piano, but you can't tuna fish, or to write with a broken pencil is a bit pointless.
I had a message here today with a word I didn't understand, so had to google it.
To the sender of that message, all I can say is "If you get too big for your boots, you'll probably expose yourself in the end" and like a hard-boiled egg, that's a bit hard to beat :wink:Boom Boom!.
-
So did I. Seen it before but well worth watching again, and thinking about the uncertainty of what must have ben going through the passenger's/ now pilot in commands mind. A great effort all around.

just a bit plane bonkas at times. Phillumanism! (had to google that one) Have collection of matchbox models tucked away for the grandkids, but not into collecting the pyrotechnic side of things, strike a light!Just because I can't get through my day without speaking my time between Recreational Flying and my joys of Phillumenism doesn't mean I am insane or even....... -
