I'd love to give it a go!
You and me both. Looks a reeeeal buzz!
Need a soft landing though because of my crook back.
Noticed the jet-ski boys were never far away, which was good.

No good for RAAus registration as it has four enjines for a start, but is amazing to watch in flight if nothing else.
Maybe a future pro-jet (spelt incorrectly) for Mick.

It let the all older folks in the area know that their hearing was still working! It powered into an amazing climb at the end of the display and the sound was delicious ! )I always loved the earsplitting crackle sound when a VC10 was close to V2 with the engines developing twice the power of QE2 they say, but at somewhat different RPM's.
The BAC Lightning doing a vertical climb was another good one, if noise turns you on.

:welcome:Good to hear from you. So whst do you fly?Hello NeoThis is Bobfromreddeer. I am new to this site and I can't find where I post my own profile so I am replying to you. I'm from Canada and have built and now flying a 701, over 350 hrs on it so far. I am looking for a contact in New Zealand that is willing to correspond with as wife and I hope to be down there in Feb to March 2018. Would love to do some flying while there. Any assistance would be appreciated. ThanksBob

Email photo to yourself which normally makes it smaller, save attachment to your pics, then attach that smaller file to your post. Should work, hope this helps.

Yea Mate, but behave yourself, or you might get a right hook.So I can't put a one nation sticker on my aircraft 24reg and fly Pauline any where she wants to go Neil -
Check out this drone video from Colorado. It's absolutely stunning and by far the best ive seen.

Looks like the usual journalistic BS to me. Are pollies exempt from flying in an RAAus planes. It's not worth a fortune whichever way you look at it .But I suppose it's good enough to make a few headlines short of WW3 being declared.

Colin who?

Autosol works well on plastic headlight covers to remove the yellowing. Plenty of elbow grease needed, so don't envy you with about 1/2 a sq/mtr to do.
An old watch repairer that I used to work with used Autosol on the plastic watch-glasses, and finished off with brasso. They normally came up looking like new.

Congratulations Captain! Enjoyed your journey that you've posted on here.
Wadya saying, the Jabiru's not a fancy plane?
Expect a bit of flack from those who own and love them.

Is that the sane and insane totals? If so I quite understand.

but by all accounts they are fast and don't like grass. My son used to be a bit like that, but has now matured only a little bit, and drives a Nissan 180 imported drift-car, but due to marital responsibilities has given away the grass bit too!

Made a post tonight after a total of about 3,015 and suddenly noticed my total had dropped to 2,623.
Just seemed a bit strange?

Good job someone has a few brains, but difficult sometimes to transfer knowledge.
Glad you made it back OK.

Eventually made contact with my friend, but she retired a few months ago and apparently was employed by ACT and in a different department. Sorry if I built up your hopes, but she can't help. We can only wish the best for our mate Ian. Just wanted to help if at all possible.
Kind Rgds

Good luck with that Ian, i'll still make a phone call just in case there's another opportunity for you.You never guess what, I moved out of my apartment yesterday, got it cleaned and carpets steam cleaned and drove back to Melbourne. The agent has already started advertising the apartment. BUT, I just got a phone call that DSS, whom I went up there to work for a few weeks ago and was cancelled due to them cancelling a big program of work, wanting to interview me on Tuesday for a role in another area.I get the impression that once you get in the door, they prefer to promote from within, but I may be wrong.
-
I know someone who works next door in DHS. Pretty good money if you can ever get past all the red tape blocking the doorway.
She's not easy to contact, but i'll try and see if they have a need for someone with real computer skills who actually has brains for brains. I can only try.
I get the impression that some there, work their butts off, while others work from 1 till 2 with an hour for lunch.

Too right Col, The M5 also springs to mind. Total lack of forethought!

:welcome:Trooper, I used to think along your lines and found them exciting, but have grown to prefer builders planks to ceiling-fans, of any type.

Good on you bobcat, well done!
But 62 is definitely pre old-fart as you will realize in years to come.

Impressive!
Innovation is what progress is all about.
Don't worry Frank, all good, otherwise it would be in another thread which we don't want to think about.
