    solar and storage is killing off any new small expansions of the grid now, the guy that installed our solar mentioned how the week before he installed a $40k system on a farm.

    the original plans for wellcamp showed 3 huge hangars big enough to work on a 777 and a row of GA hangars that could have housed a 20 planes. none of that stuff has been built as far as I can see. can't call it an airport with hangars

    After they sold off their concrete and building business, they said they were using the money to pay down debt. So I guess they had borrowed short when they should have borrowed long.

    I haven't got anything against Wagner's, I just wish they would pull their finger out and finish the airport so we can see what the future holds. It just looks like its going to be 1/10 finished forever.

    So you see why coal is a dead asset, gas powered electricity can be switched on, scaled up and switched off fairly easily whereas you 30-40 year old coal plants aren't designed to be shutdown. Electricity consumption in the middle of the night is encouraged by a whole raft of off peak consumption incentives for things like hot water and street lighting, anything to keep those coal plants from shutting down.

    Wagners haven't built any supporting infrastructure to make the airport successful, so its hard to see when the good times will start rolling.
