  1. Thanks Kaz, the Gazelle at Penfield is now privately owned. Also thanks djpacro but I can't fly the Gazelles at Tristar, they have letters instead of numbers (I am RA only)
  2. Iggy is stirring me up, Moruya is where I came from
  3. I have recently moved to Melbourne so I have had an enforced couple of months away from flying. I was wondering if anyone might know where I might find a Gazelle to hire near Melbs. I did have a fly out at Tyabb but I would like to know what else is available.
  4. I might make a noise if I knew exactly what "IT" is
  5. And here is that very same landing from inside the aircraft, eagle eyed viewers may be able to see Iggy and his camera of the the right! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqvwrsrNW08
  6. I know the Moruya Flying Club Gazelle, which is used for training has had new wooden prop in the recent past.
  7. according to reports it is one of these http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parker_Teenie_Two

  10. looks like the left prop may have been featherd
  11. I have just been sent a picture of a twin with collapsed landing gear at Point Cook today. If I get the photographers permission I will post the picture.
  12. I had to sideslip before I could get my cert. and I practice it almost every flight. I see it as an essential technique (in the Gazelle at least) in a forced landing situation to avoid overshooting if it becomes clear that I am too high.
  13. Try Moruya Aero Club
  14. :clap:well done,
  15. I have not had any problems logging on over the last 24h
  16. too bad about the weather, but if you will try to fly 3 times in one week!
  17. congrats again Lloyd. (Lloyd is my brother in law, he started out as a regular passenger of mine).
  18. Oh I quite agree, I didn't intentionally throw it away, I just could not find it, probably lost in a house move, luckily RA Aus had a copy of my logbook up until the time I attained my cert so I only lost about 10 hours

  20. um no I didn't consider myself a pilot, when I quit in 1990 it was with the intention of quitting for good, in fact I even threw away my log book. I recommenced flying in 2007 after someone bought me a TIF and I became hooked.
