1. ... the debonair Dika :ilmostro: was truely a master at his craft! For not only had he brought the rowdy melee to a hush in antici..............pation, of his pending oration. He'd successfuly fired off a couple of sly winks ;) to the pretty little things  on the second table and received two promising :polite: new phone numbers in response from the third! "Welcome to the post nuptial soirée of  and ." Dika began. "As is a custom of the times, I will ask that all mobile phones are switched off .... and could someone take that telegraph keypad from MrH please." Dika took a sip from his martini, (shaken, not strirred?) straightened his jacket and continued......
2. I was going to suggest hit Alt F4 and play solitare instead. But things are just so touchy :dousing: around here these days. :ne_nau: After thought: Try it again rephrased as a boat question Dawgie. The concept got bogged down by the reasons why it shouldn't happen in aviation....
3. "As there should young girl!" scolded aunt Gladys,:DirtDOG: great grand aunt of the groom. "...A backless gown just isn't suitable attire at such a formal occasion!" :lol 8: The drummer :drums: commenced a spectacular roll to introduce the emcee, :ilmostro: ('cuz the brass section had failed dismally :Disappointed: to sound the herald) as forum ambassador, (resident lady killa :polite:) and mayor of Asp Valley stepped up to the dais. "Nicely done, Bryskins!" complimented Dika as he took the microphone, "Perhaps if you'd rolled it a little more to the left, you would have missed the bridal partly  and hit those couple of guitarists instead." Dika then turned to the crowd to begin the formalities. "Distinguished guests, ladies, gentlemen and assorted coastal folk....."
4. Tracky, The Rotax manual specifies 95 ron or greater for the 912S (and 912ULS) The 912 and 912UL can use regular unleaded though! But you knew that. ;)
5. 197 hrs BP PULP 2558 litres Avgas 100LL 340 litres Shell VSX4 oil & filter @ 50Hrs No issues.
6. ...and then the conspiracy theorists and wannabecops got hold of it.
7. "You musos do bookings?" enquired McLoch " 'cuz were gunna need a band to play at a gig in Nannaland shortly!" he explained and told of how Tomo had left the chat room early last night, but stayed logged in to see what was said about him while he slept. "So, when ditDah  wakes up at o'dark thirty :yuk: this morning, to read through the chat room history :raise_eyebrow::ah_oh:, he's sure to want to book a band :drums::guitarist: ..." BrassBandPete pursed his lips and blew a raspberry into his long tin tube thingo to herald the announcement .... ============ Ahhhh, a forum wedding:smash pc:.... Shame that neither of them know about it ...:yelrotflmao:yet....
8. Bryon had rolled off a clever snare :drums: to up the tempo of NES, and then paused as a riff gained momentum. :cool_shades: The neck shredders :guitarist:, unable to keep time on their own, twanged off a few staccato retorts, but they were bassless () and unable to sustain a rhythmic attack. As their arrangement became more disc(h)ordant, the guitarists began to quaver and unable to stave off the up coming slur (yes, it's actually a musical notation) "What do you call a group of guitarists?" taunted a timpanist from the back row. "a lick clique!" she jeered as she nochantly leafed through her law texts. (The wind section remained tight lipped as they were saving all their hot air for discussions about rego labels. ) "We'll distract them with sax!" suggested Slarti(pianoman)Joel. "That alto stave them off!" agreed Tom Tom. "Yeah, guitar players are notorious for thinking with their crotchets and believing that they are going to score." added Ahlow :amazon:as carefully placed his lyre :augie:onto it's stand. "Betcha a tenor at least one of them won't be able to leave it rest..." :stirring pot:
9. Oh well, life's full of little let downs isn't it...
10. "That'd be right!" commented Ahloch. "Some one mentions sax and in comes Dika bearing his asp..."
11. It's going to be a little bit easier to catch them out though isn't it? ;) It's not our/my job to catch 'em, but it's not going to hurt to be part of a solution rather than get our knickers in a twist about it. :ne_nau: Cheers CiFi! P.S. Plus I'll know where my rego card is for once....
12. True CiFi. However, consider this; When all the compliant owners have affixed their rego cards as per the AN, the non compliant minority are going to stick out like dog nutz. CASA, RAAus or even peers will be in a better position to put a rocket up them. Looks like the first step toward a solution for the problem and not bad value for an 11 cent plastic envelope and some printing ink for each registered aircraft. YMMV.
13. So a directive to have the aircraft's registration status prominently displayed has been promulgated and the cost of compliance is three parts of stuff all.... I just can't see why this has generated such a controversy? :ne_nau:
14. The offence is flying unregistered aircraft. Where's the issue?
15. 34°55'50.85"s 147°20'51.82"e Found it by accident too. Looking for a relo's farm at the time.
16. ...McLock, not being someone who can let an opportunity for a wind up slip by (), reminisced :gerg: of the old Dennis fire trucks. "Couldn't kill'em If you tried" he started. "The motors in 'em were as reliable as rotoraxes. As quick as a sportTzar, (heaps quicker, which wouldn't be hard , but this is a windup remember ;).) but they had Jabiru's brakes ... "you couldn't stop 'em straight if you tried." Kruddies spin doctors quickly cottoned on to the political discussion gaining momentum :raise_eyebrow: among the NES community. "Tell Tree Hugger we've got an idea!" "We'll flog the left over insulation off as airframe covering to the rag and tube mob! "We'll tell 'em that it'll put a bit of extra spark into their machines"... =========== Politics, aviation and smilies...who'd have thought. :ne_nau:
17. ..."You're on own Kruddy!" snapped the minister for tree hugs, old stuff and yarts. (1) "They wan't to know how I can sleep while their beds are burning, burning"... ============ (1) Just in case it's too subtle. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/garretts-50m-roofing-debacle/story-e6frg6n6-1225828979078
18. There was movement in the forum, a rumble from bangholme way About a fast ski boat, a long tow rope and that Turbo’s back to play... McLock had desperately tried to rid himself of the rhyming verses that were coursing through his head. But he still had a ways to go… <blush> “I’m even trying to cut down on smiley usage, to fall into line with The olde ways!” he added. “Well, there be no more satire or wild tangents!” chided Tubz. “Strictly aviation discussions and old knock, knock riddles. And definitely no..…. =========== <sigh> guzzumped by TheGrin , for being too slow with a comeback....
19. The sky's gone grey :raise_eyebrow:, down this way, and the dust's :uhoh2: all turned into mud. There's not much to do i_dunno, 'cept to stir up some poo, for amusement , I gave him a poke. Now I wait to cheer:high 5:, for what may appear, if he responds in the manner I hope. :lol 8: but alas, if I'm wrong :ne_nau:, he'll make me the nong, :black_eye: as he shoots me down in smoke:banned:.... ============= Hmmm, smiley wars. I'll be colourful!
20. “Bugger me dead!” Ahlow said, as picked himself up from the floor. “If weren’t for sh:censored:t, satire and wit, the NES would be a bore. “So try as we might, :ne_nau: to keep the mood light :clown:, with ironic humour cross fire, I can’t see the fun, (might be for some i_dunno), about airspeed and what size front tyre? :yuk: =========== Pawn takes king's bishop. Your move...
21. Well what ya know, Decs havin' a go, and come back with a ripper. He's waiting around, for a quick rebound from the rhyming mushroom tripper. :bmwrider: But the voices are dead inside loch's head, "They're spent from the previous post." :ne_nau: "And if I try too hard, I'll end up tarred, and feathered by the forum host. "But I'll give it go, for you never know, i_dunno I might get my second wind'.... "There's still some folk with fun to poke, and the crowd in the chat room's thinned." ================ Poor Darks was feeling left out, and hanging in suspense. "If you don't get your act together loch, I'm gunna take offence! :Disappointed: "I'll write up a subpoena, a writ with no defence. :bitehard: I'll take you down before the crown! ..Hang your nutz up from the fence." Loch was getting nervous, :uhoh2: his mind was getting slow. "I can't come up with much right now :black_eye:, and I've still got Slart's to go! "I'll leave it for the morning, Kap-i-tan might have try.. The Rat could well, raise merry hell! :see saw: But it's late, good night, Bye bye... ================ Re-edited 'cuz the 1st version of this one sucked....:yuk:thumb_down.
22. The regulars are all missing him, :broken_heart: as the story lines have run quite thin. But he’s not been seen since terse words flew, ‘bout his posts being changed by the chosen few. :baldy: He swears that he’s not in a huff , about moderattis or other stuff, :kumbaya: But quietly watching from behind the scene. “To keep ‘em honest, or they’ll cop a ream!” :lol 8: “If you give them an inch and they’ll take a mile, :rolleyes1: and I’m watching that young bloke  with the smile, and I’ll get that Rat :Disappointed:, he’ll drop his guard, :patch: that cunning linguist, from his aunt's back yard. Decca’s fine, :ilmostro: stood the test of time, so he shouldn’t really worry.:no no: But if he gets that grin:polite: , as your wife walks in… you better lock her up in a hurry!” :FeelGood: ======= Now that's done, I've work to do, (don't worry Darks, I'll be back for you ) There's hidey, planey and Pete to go. What I'll do with slarti, I don't yet know. What ever it is, he won't be smitten, 'cuz it'll probably be about his :ha ha:orange brown kitten....
23. They seek him here , they seek him there. The Turbo’s vanished, to who knows where? :ne_nau: So they laid some bait and lay in wait. But he’s not checked in! :ah_oh: Well, not to date. ===========
24. "... Doesn't look like a rewrite would work now that it's been quoted" sighed McLoch after the seeing the carnage :uhoh2: from the gag that didn't work. :run: "I can't help it! " he blubbered "I'm the victim of an over active humour gene :jump:and there's nothing doing in general population to poke fun at 'cuz of all the seriousness :bitehard: that's going on." :dousing: Mcloch quietly returned to the tedium :sleep:of the day....:ne_nau: ============== ...Did I ever tell you the one about the ten foot barge pole??
25. "If it's done with an orange (or slightly bronze :smooch:) paddle with a kitten puppet on the handle, I'll scream herassm,.. hurasmi,.. getting picked on!" protested ahclock, who'd figured out what all this discipline :raise_eyebrow: talk was really about. ============ The Turbo is silent today.....in the garden??
