  1. Holbrook, it's easy driving and generally no fog as its an open area. I fly a 610 brumby hi- wing , but trained in tecnam at bendigo.
  2. Milz, are you training in Corowa? If I can help give me a call
  3. The nose wheel is not faired but it is a larger wheel for grass and rougher strips,
  4. Well, if the nose does act in assisting in directional control (I am not saying it does) but if it is facing in another direction to the rudder could it steer the nose of the plane away from the HDG and then the auto pilot pulls it back and back and forth it goes. That's a theory
  5. Father john is away, we are awaiting his return to reassemble the engine. Scott is doing it for him.
  6. Now that the prop has been re wedged the engine does not over rev like it used to and the engine works much harder now.
  7. I did not do the first engine run up ,the plane builder did and run up hours prior to me picking it up.
  8. The engine has 85 hrs , prop has been wedged fine and the engine would over rev
  9. They have re wedged it and I have picked up 10 plus knots in speed , but it now uses more fuel.
  10. Should the steerable nose wheel be aligned with the rudder?, mine is not. My autopilot seems to be working hard to keep my plane on course. Does it matter if the nose wheel is not in alignment, out by say 10 or so degrees? The auto pilot holds perfect altitude, directional control is poor.
  11. the cap was not lost, it is attached by a chain, it was just not locked into its position, just lying on the wing.
  12. I sent them an email and they did not acknowledge my communication . Stevron
  13. The engine is using 1.5 quarts per 5 hours, there seems to be a drip at the end of the breather pipe. Stevron
  14. The plane was in the hands of the dealer for some repairs and not in my hangar. Stevron
  15. I went to pick up my plane recently , on my arrival , I found that the left hand fuel cap was off . It was gut wrenching, I did not know if it was left off or tamper with, as it was Sunday there was know one to ask from the repairer. I was to fly away on Wednesday with others , my decision was to leave it at home , very annoying stevron.
  16. What is a acceptable oil disappearance for a lycoming engine?
  17. Andrew, stop the sell off of our country's assets, our children will not be able to buy them back. Steve.
  18. Thanks guys, I thought it was just me and I did not like lightness of the plane. i have been up as much as I can in all sorts of weather to try and be more comfortable with the plane and conditions. I must say that the LSA class is cost effective to fly but it comes with other down sides ie difficulty to hold straight and level , susceptible to turbulence , easy to over load if not careful. Regards Stevron
  19. Why do I still feel nervous in turbulence in LSA and yet i dont get nervous in a GA plane or when I am flying two up and what is the best way to handle this?
  20. Thanks all , some good info , when my plane is returned from the factory I will enact some these . Thanks again.
  21. I have now reduced the setting to 4 and the factory has come and picked up the plane for repairs so I have not had a check flight
  22. I seem to have a great deal of trouble holding a heading . The moment I look else where I drift off my heading in double quick time . Any suggestions?
  23. I have a D100 and AP74 and when I engage the auto pilot I feel that I am in a washing machine . It can oscillate 010 deg either side of track. What can I do?
  24. I would like to see some more info or photos and of cause costs. Email me on , [email protected] , thanks Stevron
