  1. Double ' nuts ' here . Two bodied " mp for the Seat of " Higgins " . spacesailor
  2. Now with a new name " Bristell Classic ". They also have an ' Electric trainer ' . The company should go far . spacesailor
  3. Thank you . One in a ( forum ), or hundreds. spacesailor
  4. And from " small beginnings ", an airline pilot could emerge. spacesailor
  5. Get smaller wings . LoL Mine . 6gs X 6gs . Just short of being 95-10- 1103 registered . spacesailor
  6. Then again . My Hummel-Bird doesn't fit " 95-10-1103 '' category either. It's wings are too small . Even through it was a " registered " aircraft . ( under AUF ) . V H experimental, or back to RAAus as a new registration , ' 95-19-whatever ' . I would swap for a ' 103 ' aircraft . To get away from " them who like to be gods ". spacesailor
  7. Maintenance. IF , you can fly with two cylinders. Your Maintenance is minimal. But . Electric is better. Maintenance is less than minimal. spacesailor
  8. sound , As it's torque is at low revolutions. Just like a Harley, only better . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_76NV_JhM8 spacesailor
  9. Tried that ! . It was advertised as an " Advanced driving course " . but, It turned out to be the opposite. No spinning around to escape . ( as opposed to the normal 3 point turn ) . Reverse is a faster geat than first. So, speed away in Reverse. neutral, turn a little , Hand brake . Spin the front, opposite lock ,3 rd gear. & speed away . It was Just , ' drive slow & be aware of dogs and old people ' . spacesailor
  10. I like the 'Dovetail ' but it is a " turboprop " . spacesailor
  11. Using old language. 100 Ah " lithium battery " powering a 40 hp motor . That is what ultralight aircraft need . They were the forefront of flying for many decade's. The Hummel-Bird looks a great candidate for a new EV modification. but with it's 6 ltrs p hour . Not many will bother converting . spacesailor
  12. But this Aviator couldn't get his certificate. two planes one hanglider zero citified . I bought a two seater trike for " someone " to fly me . What is a none pilot . A walker . Or forum member, just to keep ' in the loop ' . spacesailor
  13. Not so , with the New Super gadgetry cars . My favourite! . Mercedes automatic seat adjustment. That if stopped, before the cycle has Finnished Requires a new module to be installed . spacesailor
  14. Not so , with the New Super gadgetry cars . My favourite! . Mercedes automatic seat adjustment. That if stopped, before the cycle has Finnished Requires a new module to be installed . spacesailor
  15. " the above does not allow for aggressive ( illegal )behaviour " . You wrote it yourself . & there's the problem. Especially Those new racing drivers , with their new Ps . TheY also enjoy those " Driver Annoying Devices " . That are bad for ( miss Daisy ( Driving miss Daisy)) . Old or inferm with aching bones , being shaken around . spacesailor
  16. The" stupidity " of the ' new ' rule is the car not yet " in the roundabout " can speed- up " & cut you off as you enter . He's breaking the speed limit . But your in the wrong . That I had to see if it's true. ' no. more give way to your right ' First in best dressed . spacesailor
  17. My ' mobility scooter ' has two 40 ah lead acid batteries. That cost more than a 100 ah marine battery . More importantly is the fact that an empty battery weighs almost the same as a full one , so , the aircraft doesn't go out of balance like my Hummel-Bird. Take off with the ( over your legs ) fuel tnk full , heavy nose . Land with near empty tnk , & tail heavy . Easier to stall in landing configuration. spacesailor
  18. That's why I asked that question. spacesailor
  19. You mean ' fuel tank ' . Every plane will have an appropriate sized tank to the Physical size of the plane . 40 hp in an ultralight , will have a much smaller tnk than a large GA registered one. A N70 lead acid battery weighs in at 24 kgrms . 15 ltrs petrol weighs 10.5 kgms . For two hours flight plus reserve . I'm thinking I C beats E V in this aeroplane . spacesailor
  20. What is the " battery " weight ( used for aircraft ). Compared to 98 petrol weigh ( litre ) . spacesailor
  21. One ( monowheel ) is used by a Hummel-Bird pilot , can't get much smaller. spacesailor
  22. Just like having to pay for a " road rules " book . I pay'd because of the " roundabout " stupidity " . Should have stay with ' give way to the right ' . Not, race in to be first . spacesailor
  23. I ' cheat ' . I carry a " boat fuel tank. When filling my " Jerry cans" . Approximately 80 ltrs , in all . But it gets awkward when " 20 ltrs of 98 for Hummel-Bird 20 ltrs 95 for marine and stationary engines . Plus diesel . Never ever buy that low grade adulterated alcohol blend .It killed my garden equipment motors . As for " bad " service stations fuel , my bro-inlaw had it happen , and blew the fuel pump a few clicks from servo . Insurance paid out. spacesailor
  24. Most ' Nullarbor Road ' stations have a good airstrip . Also , have camping area's . And , a $ 3,000 towing bill . spacesailor
  25. ZI-NI Is not as hard wearing as chrome . Which was my thinking before . " rust protection & wear resistance " . If your 'Old ' leg has a little wear , & is a little sloppy '. The Plating could be a metal builder . spacesailor
