  1. No chrome on my ' mild-steel leg ' . p l They were ( a couple of years ago well oiled ). Just have to oil it annually. done , but no photo ,as hands now need ' de oil ing . LoL spacesailor
  2. Chroming seems to be very hard wearing , and doesn't rust like bare metal . But It is now, of this year banned in all new car manufacturing. seems another " greening " of, what was, will never be again . The ' world ' is in retro, We will soon back to the dark age of " horse & cart . No coal, burn tree's. Ne plastic bags , cut down more tree for " brown paper bags " . No more IC omnibuses , back to " trams " . instead of electrification of buses . ( no rails. needed ). What a world to leave for our descendants . spacesailor
  3. Just saying . But it would be fantastic to even do those high speed Pre-takeoff runs. Instead of " close your eyes & dream of " , soaring like an eagle. spacesailor
  4. That ' fiasco ' of REGISTERED aircraft being removed from RaAus registration. BUT could be " grandfathered " to fly, When never registered , ( only have to say " it has been flown previously " ). Can I fly my 10-1103 , in Queensland . It was registered. I HAVE THOSE AUF PAPERS . ( and my weight is getting closer to flying maximum weight ). spacesailor
  5. I often wonder ! ,about the ' airfield bowser ' , sitting up in the open , & out in all weathers , Do those bowsers have a ' water drain ' or have rust inside . The outside are not painted on many , so, what would the I side look like. spacesailor
  6. My mistake. Yes it works very quickly. spacesailor
  7. Perhaps a litte leniency for us mortals . Nothing on my aircraft is , or ever will be " tso " or compliant to aviation standards. It's a home built ultralight weight aircraft . That has been no problems with ' nosewheel legs ' failing to my knowlede . ( I could ask if there has been a broken nose wheel leg ever ). I was thinking of chroming my ' noseleg ' to fight rust on the wear parts ,after the grease has rubbed away . ( not high-grade steel ) . spacesailor
  8. Petrolspy Just tried for Parks NSW . " no matches found " . Not good for me . I'll cheat & offer a ' joyride ' for a couple of Gerry cans of 98 premium petrol. The locals would love to see their house from above. spacesailor
  9. How much will CASA . EXPECT ? IT WOULDN'T BE CHEAP by any one's expectations. No licene/certificate, No registration/third party Insurance . Throw the book at him, will be the cry ! . spacesailor
  10. Sydney has " polair " . Popularly known as " pigs in space " . White lines on roadway for polair to calculate your speed.
  11. Doesn't look, ' quite right ' somehow. Just used to twisty-bit on the correct side . spacesailor
  12. The wife says " the grumpy old men's club " . spacesailor
  13. I thought it was meant to be . Wage , not Age . I read between the lines far to often it seems . spacesailor
  14. l Am , offended. Old but not grumpy . yet spacesailor
  15. I wouldn't Dare in Sydney. Must be just , a little slack in Gippsland Victoria. Here you're busted for 0.05. seconds $ 500 . spacesailor
  16. They ( autogyro club ) , had a great "glider " , I couldn't Get enough of it , being towed behind a big Ford car . spacesailor
  17. I didn't say $ 300. Oops you changed it . But A ' helicopter ' course from Baurkhamhills was a little less than $ 3000 . Spacesailor
  18. I can beat that excessive price . When ( so long ago ) we flew somewhere in Badgerys Creek . I enquired as-to the flight training on their " autogyro " . Big shock at the reply . $3,000 . That was the same as ' helicopter ' training . crazy. spacesailor
  19. The lower entry price, is even lower , If , you can put your own labour into it , also your pride of workmanship vs the workmanship of a paid to produce Person. Your, dream machine . Why cut corners if a little extra work fills you with pleasure of a job well done . spacesailor
  20. You can rechrome your tube . ( CAUGHT that sneaky A I at-it again ) . spacesailor
  21. Hard to sue , When , DEAD . Just stating a little fact . spacesailor
  22. most of my model aeroplanes crashed . repeatedly. Except one . A fairly big 707 delta-wing , that my big brother had put a large banger inside . Jetex powered it went great , then bang , no plane & no Jetex motor. not happy spacesailor
  23. Not really. Just buy half Finnished homebuilt aircraft . I know a finished Hummel , that will make a smashing drone . There were 16 builders, at the height of the Hummel-Bird Craze . Were are those unfinished drones . spacesailor
  24. Not a lot of ' flying ' , but the cheapest form of ' flying ' . LoL ( a long time ago I asked Mr King to ' test fly ' my bird . NO takers ) . I was taken by surprise when taking my bird for it's inspection . Was told " not registrable " as the rules were changed . I could have had it inspected , a couple of years earlier if I was informed , ( instead of flying the clubs traing aircraft ) About the rule change in time . OR I could have lied & had that " grandfathered " . clause work for me . My years of flight training . didn't pay off for me the way I expected . spacesailor
