  6. A little bit more ! . When most drivers get to 10 or 15 years past retirement. they automatically slow their driving , as they are no longer Regimented by the clock . My son in law , I find to be a terrible driver . Highly strung , explosive temperament, runs red lights if he thinks his luck will hold . Lastly he will drink & drive. but he will pass any test you throw at him . Three of my grand-sons are into fast cars , Even raced in Japan last year, invited back for this year . spacesailor

  8. When that date ' of ( driver less ) autominus cars arrives. I will get no enjoyment sitting in a passengers seat , 'swearing at another media screen ' as I do now to this ( so-called ) smart television . That asks stupid questions. spacesailor
  9. To make an ' aluminium ' wheel on a lathe shouldn't cost a lot of money . Mr Sainty made aluminium wheels for a Royal coach , the passengers said " the best ride ever by any coach " . ( Sainty speed works Sydney ( if still going )). spacesailor

  13. I did , enjoy it , My only problem , was the white ' title ' across the top & over the first yellow line of the story, that I just couldn't read . But still enjoyable. spacesailor

  16. Our road became ' crazy paving 'only a few months after a new surfaces was relaid . The gang came back & poured liquid tar into those cracks, and years later it is holding . But the adjacent road joints are full of potholes for me & others to trip on . spacesailor
  17. Your all correct ! . It is CCA. . As it's now three years since putting those batteries in I hope you can give Me forgiveness for my forgetfulness. spacesailor
  18. Just standard camping gear , 4 amphour fridge/freezer . CB radio & a small number other bits. But left on overnight . So probably 48 hours total hours from my 1500 ah truck batteries . I should have had a 4 ah solar input , but it got shaded . As the diesel motor needed the "" preheater " before starting it only just failed ( turned over slowly ). My ' emergency jump-start ' just melted a terminal off . spacesailor

  20. My poor Delica had two 750 ah 12 v batteries ( 3 years old ), I Killed them ( overdischarged ) twice they were doomed . Replaced by some " calcium " something batteries . They lasted less than 12 months. So back to " flooded wet cell " batteries, & two years later still going strong . spacesailor

  22. Lead-acid batteries can only be safely drained to 9 volts , then it degrades its life hugely. Better have those expensive Lithium Iron batteries. For longer life . spacesailor
  23. " regional parts " , I needed a Holden part , it comes from Brisbane somewhere. As I'm heading north from Sydney, no problem. Get to Brisbane, only to be told , it comes from Perth . I eventually broke down, solely due to regional parts . Luckily for me , the Indian mechanic knew the tricks & got that common part . From , China . spacesailor
  24. Exercise in space . MMmm. Let me see , ' cardiovascular & lungs ' . Seems like " sex ersize" is needed . Gets that heart pumping and heavy ' breathing ' . spacesailor
