    When I took my H F radio test , I asked about ' annual renewal ' ( as about to head offshore, overseas ) BUT Was promptly told " no one renews , just keep up to date " . That was the government licence inspector. Then they want a test for this & another test for that, then they will dream up more ways to get revenue. spacesailor

    Not just the farm engines , but the old ANVIL Is getting $ 1000`s , as ornaments for the wealthy , I just like shaping metal on them, but not at those prices. ( old rail track does the same ). spacesailor

    Just my poor understanding of ' ocean expansion ' . The Mediterranean has been Filling for a few decades. AND It is rising! . BUT For that length of time it Should be, as full as it can be . BUT Evaporation is reducing that Mighty fill rate . SO IF the earth is Warming, it's evaporation will increase making the earth ' wetter & warmer ' . Just like it was before getting hit by a big astoroid, making " SnowBall " earth. spacesailor

    You could Check the pad alignment before spending time & fuel . Then run them while holding preasure But don,t overheat them, take the time to let them cool down . spacesailor

    My ' disc ' brakes were woefully out of ' pad ' alignment , so I taped fine sandpaper either side of the disc , then rubbed the protruding pad material down to an better fit , using the disc as a rubbin Block . spacesailor

    An Idiot's question !. But How to tell if the clear sheet of plastic iß ' acrilic ' or ' policarbonate ' . I ,m cutting up some at the moment & it just hit me ! , what is this. It scores & saws well, but the heat knife is the quickest. spacesailor

    The person I approched is a HummelBird , owner & Is current for that aircraft , SO. I would have thought he would be the BEST I would find . spacesailor

    That was my main reason Not to fly my Hummel Bird . There was one instance were a Hummel Bird pilot ,either died from the stress ,or the subsequent crash . The controls are course & the aircraft very agile . So induced oscillations are easily to get into . spacesailor

    BUT Using those plugs for a Permanent repair , . I have always been told , they are a Temporary repair only . spacesailor

    I tried to get a ' test pilot ' for my Hummelbird as I had about ten to fifteen hours of tuition on a Foxbat. Totaly different from the dhort coupled HB, that hadn,t been flown before. Needless to say I was unsuccessful. spacesailor

    I took my neighbors tyre in for a puncture repair ! , & they insisted on using a ' plug ' . Not removing the case to put a patch inside . I think thats ' cheap & shoddy ' . He didn,t seem bothered, so I didn't say we,ll go elsewhere. spacesailor

    A lot of remarks on the English language! . BUT Who named the little isle , off the French coast , i,m sure the Vikings, ,Normans, Saxons, Dutch, & Romans . Didn,t call it England . spacesailor

    WELL !. I,m four score, at long last. AND I STILL DO MY OWN SERVICES . Just need to put the engine hoist ready to haul ME up each time I go under the Paj or Delica . AND I put a ' mechanics pit ' in my garage . spacesailor

    Can you tow with an automatic !. Of course manual would be best , as No slippage at All . Torque converters get over heated when towing, hence another radiator. ( oil cooler ) The ' belt,s ' will wear faster when towing . ( due to slippage ) . spacesailor

    That Must be the one . I downloaded an image of the transmission ! , but how to get it onto here . I well remembered this , as a super gearbox ( pivbegetriebe.png ). spacesailor

    My younger brother rolled a ' light fifteen ' Citroën. And that took a lot of doing . Didn,t those 2 CV Citroën have two cones & an elastic belt for gearing ? . spacesailor

    And Who mends their own punctures now ! , Only offroad 4 wheel drive knuts like me , ( tyre Pliers ) anyone . spacesailor

    My brother has lost at least Three wheels , that I know of. AND he only has servo,s & mechanic workshops service his cars !. But he never does an Annual service , " if it hasn,t been run it doesn,t need a service " & then it breaks-down for that chrismas holiday . spacesailor

    The Road , outside my house was laid so cheaply it cracked-up , shortly after, the contractors came & poured liquid tar into the cracks , and years later it looks like crazy paving! . But it,s holding together . spacesailor

    More like Sydney,s Dam potholes . My daughter lost an almost new tyre , squashed it over the rin splitting both sides of tyre. No patches for sidewall holes. spacesailor

    Two passed my house , this week !!!!!. Running on flat tyres, & noise of the rims grinding on the road . Saving space for the groceries. With out a spare or a jack !. spacesailor
