  1. The ATO is the Only place were you Are guilty, until You Prove you are Innocent ! . And they bankrupt people because they Can , & to put the fear into all of us . " Toongabbie spares " Not allowed to trade out of monetary shortage ,due to creditor's late payments. spacesailor
  2. But a lot of those ' lawn mowers ' are ABN ! OLD but NEW BUSINESSES. SUPLIMENTING THEIR RETIREMENT. P,P,P,P ,! Oops caps, ( do I really need to rewrite it all ).. LoL And do the ' emergency services get Anything . ' Not the police ' they're getting $millions out of us motorists . Are those fines attracting " tax on revenue " . spacesailor
  3. Most 4X4 driver's are advised to, ' pull the ABS fuse ' Before offroading . As one who couldn't find said fuse " it's bloody awful being thrown side to side each time that ABS detects one wheel revolving more than the other Three. " . ( in sand ruts ). spacesailor
  4. Not only , US cost. Carrier's cost, then , G S T When landed. Also Damage in transit. Lose or theft . I gave up trading from the U S as a couple of items were never received. Also a air hand-held txrx from England , just disappeared. I felt very guilty for a long time after . spacesailor

  8. '' complete ripoff between the insurance company '' . I had the surprise of my life , when NRMA told me , '' they only use old secondhand parts on all vehicles that were older than 24 months old '' . Straight from then wreckers ! and that was for a top quality well maintained vehicle . spacesailor
  9. I found a problem with our current driver training & testing programs . Far too much emphasis on bureaucracy, but only a little on the learner's " physical skills " . Should a motorcycle rider get a test pass after he's fallen off the bike twice .( on his test ) He got 100 % in his written , so he passed. Useless at ' clutch, gear change .& putting foot out before he fell too far to correct that mistake. spacesailor
  10. That was the only consideration. The one shilling was a very cheap insurance, for a funeral cost, of the 60's . spacesailor
  11. In the UK .Babies could not be insured before they had their 1st birthday. ( 1960 ) We had to take out an endowment policy, for that twelve month, then it converted to a Iifepolicy, ( Prudential insurance) . Which means the Insurance got a free premium . As we had to pay our monthly shilling . spacesailor
  12. I thought you meant the 3M company . spacesailor
  13. A lot of 4X4 drivers get caught out, when 'sand driving ' . You may achieve 10 litres per 100 kilometres !. Normally. But , on sand you may double that to 20 litres per 100 kilometres. And then your car stops in half the time it , or distance . Leaving a long walk to the servo . spacesailor
  14. OH ! You mean over FORTY .. Well that's what the GreatGrandies think . Remember their Grandparent's are OLD in their mind . Nevermind the GREATGrandies .LoL spacesailor

  16. I'm old. Er. . I can' t tell a couple metres from a couple of yards. Tyre sizes are still US inch , but US engine size is cubic inch . US pints or quarts are not the same as UK pints/gallons. The different countries measurements are not the problem as the older generation passes and the new , have never used a different countries system. Will have a system they Know . To the metric system, pushers the address is " System International Paris France " . To me it's the same as King Charles , is our king . And , ! my Newest GreatGrandSon will never understand the rein of Queen Elisabeth . Born yesterday morning . spacesailor

  19. Here's the thing about insurance. Do you know Anyone , who got the insurance that they paid for all those years . When it happens , that money you have paid in , ends up helping your wifes NEW FRIEND. What do I mean , A work college lost her hubby, & the insurance paid off the mortgage, then a NEW friend, Moved in , & she had another baby for the new guy. Three years later he had enough, then when he left her . .He DEMANDED half her assets . So her house was sold to pay him out. Blooody good money , for two or three years of putting up with someone & their kids . Remember all those women who took the ' widower's ' to the cleaners . ( lived on Fitzwilliam rd ,toongabbie ) spacesailor

Big snag would be the unloading of your aircraft . Perhaps a remote harness in an open cockpit , then invert. ' goodbye dear chap ' & happy landing . LoL spacesailor
  24. Just Happy the crew made it out ! . '' Both pilots escaped with minor injuries before most of the huge plane was destroyed by fire, with Premier Mark McGowan describing their survival as a "miracle". Investigators from the ATSB found the pilots attempted to pitch the plane up from the low-altitude drop before its engines could accelerate, seconds before it hit the ridge line. "Flight recorder data shows the throttles were advanced and the engines had accelerated just before the aircraft struck a ridge line with the stick shaker activating," ATSB Chief Commissioner Angus Mitchell said. "The aircraft then cleared a small line of foliage, before impacting the ground a second time and sliding to rest. Cabin door stuck "Both pilots were unable to open the cabin door as it had buckled and the co-pilot was unable to open the right-side window," the report read. Realising the plane was on fire, the captain managed to open the left side window on a second attempt, allowing the pair to escape. Crews believed the pilots were trapped inside the aircraft and dropped retardant on the tanker, before the duo were rescued by helicopter with minor injuries. '' spacesailor
