Another NEW Savannah XL on its way
Graham Pukallus replied to Kyle Communications's topic in Savannah
Can recommend a very good avionics Tech who should be able to recalibrate your ASI. He did my altimeter out of my Savannah, while I waited and for a very reasonable rate. Give Fred Clej of Archerfield Avionics a call - 32770845 and give him the make and model to check if it can be re calibrated. Fred has also some second hand, fully serviced instruments with release notes in stock. He is at Hangar 2, Qantas Av, Archerfield Airport. -
Wings Over Warwick - 12/9/15
Graham Pukallus replied to Graham Pukallus's topic in Trips/Events/Seats
Gourmet in Gundy Festival, followed the Wings Over Warwick Flyin. For most that flew in , it was our first time at the festival. There was a huge crowd in a perfect location, on the banks of the Macintyre River. We were all treated to First class country hospitality by the Macintyre Aero Club for a pilots dinner Saturday night followed by a unique under the wing Breakfast at the Goondiwind Airport. This was filmed by channel 7, The Qld Weekender crew, which is predicted to be shown in Late November. A huge thank you to the Macintyre Aero Club and Brooke Saxby, the event organiser of the Gourmet in Gundi Festival for making our flyin experience a memorable one. -

A Day at the Opera, Jimbour House Qld.
Graham Pukallus replied to Graham Pukallus's topic in Trips/Events/Seats
We did'nt know till the day before and was'nt sure about the weather, in particular, low cloud in the morning, we did'nt depart Caboolture till 11.15. It would be the perfect venue for a RAA flyin site. Lots of past aviation history there. Will follow up what other events they have in the future and will post them on this site. -
The Jimbour Opera situated just North of Dalby was on today, with some 2,000 + people attending with a few government ministers arriving in style to officially open the event. The day was picture perfect with some interesting aircraft attending, the Heritage Listed Estate with a great bitumen runway was the perfect backdrop to today's opera festival. Something different for a weekends fly away. This is a bi - annual event and look forward to attending again, the flying visitors were made very welcome upon arrival.

Here's some photos of our Sunday flight for Brunch to Toogoolawah Drop Zone for brunch, We adhered to their requirements of a previous phone call notifying them of our visit and 10 mile inbound call on 123.75 to chech the area and strip was clear to land. Great welcome, and good to watch the activities on a Lazy Sunday morning. Met up with an old mate and Top Hang Glider, ultralight pilot, Blaino who showed us the Dragon fly in the hangar that is used for towing up Hang Gliders, what a machine ! Nothing like a turbine start up and smell of kero burning to bring back memories of yesteryear. Graham and Val.

Took delivery of our Tecnam Echo last Wedenesday from Bruce at Southport Airport. Went for a check flight with a few circuits with Bruce before departing for Redcliffe, accompanied by Doug Mc Cullough who kindly flew me down for the big day. The only options chosen were a Bolly Prop and the big wheel kit that comes in a couple of weeks, and yes Dazza I possibly should have got toe brakes but all the Tecnams I have flown with a steerable nose wheel had the hand brake in the centre console, which I am now comfortable with. I had the flap switch moved to under the left throttle which made a big difference to the general flying of this Tecnam, I believe the flap lever was in this position on the early Echo's. Val and I flew to the Watts Bridge Flyin on Saturday and going to Inglewood this weekend, if you want to check out the latest Echo Classic, come to Inglewood or PM me. This aircraft surpasses the performance and quality of the older model as you would expect with many improvements, not to mention 103 kts at 5,000 RPM and 1200 FPM climb with the 2 of us. From a women's point of view, Val is very Happy with the comfort level and storage space of this aircraft. The entire journey of purchasing this aircraft has been seemless and highly professional with nothing too hard, and I must comment and say a big thank you for the personal service we received from JetPoint Aircraft Service at Southport Airport with fitment of our instruments and minor changes to the aircraft. All in all a good experience which we believe to be a good honest plane. Graham and Val.

Here is an official invite from the Goondiwindi festival organiser to welcome all RAA and GA aircraft visiting Inglewood to also participate in this years Planes, Automobile, Trains and Bikes Festival on Saturday. Goondiwindi this weekend Graham, Thanks for the call today. I invite members of the RAA to come to Goondiwindi this Saturday. We will be having a street parade down our Main Street. We will be forming up on our eastern outskirts at 12 noon and going from there. You will no doubt see us from the air. Why won’t you take part in the parade by over flying the parade. Then be part of the festivities by coming down and listening to music and have lunch before you return to Inglewood. The address is Macintyre Street Goondiwindi. Look forward to seeing you all here. Over 110 aircraft turned up to participate in this year's All - In Flyin at Watts Bridge, very well organised and catered for, with a huge crowd, with picture perfect weather. A huge thank you to Richard, Glenda and the team for great flying day. Here are photos of just a few of the aircraft that attended.

Great venue, food and something completely different with sea planes including the famous Millard landing and taking off on the dam. Over 30 planes including 6 seaplanes, by 2pm Saturday with more expected. Unfortunately we could only have the aircraft for the day, but had a great time as I am sure everyone else did. Enormous effort by Ralph and Deb and there many helpers, very well done. Can't wait to return to this magical spot next year. Great to meet so many flyers, and soak in the atmosphere. Here are some shots of our day, no doubt there will be a lot more coming from others that stopped for the weekend. Regards Graham and Val.
