I got the same call as well ,if someone calls me with a strange accent i just hang up. To get info all they have to do is go on the RAA website and all your contact details are there if you are a L2 or CFI etc. Cheers Steve.

Hi Bill, Wayne Fisher made skins for the Chinook i use to have, all i had to do was send him the old ones so he could use them for templates, they were perfect. cheers, Steve.

I heard yesterday that there is a chance that casa is going to ground the entire raaus fleet, also they are not processing rego renewels or transfers or new rego's until further notice, is there any truth in the rumour???? Cheers Steve.

I recently bought a 2nd hand Pilot Avionics PA400 3BL intercom.Would anybody have a instruction manual that i could copy as it didn't come with one cheers Steve.

Hi, Pud, The photo's that Tiffo sent you are of my Gemini after him and i finished completely overhauling and covering in the rear with stits. It also has the same amount of wig battens as a t 500, If you look above the doors you will notice "experimental" stickers, Steve Bell from Raaus had me put them there until it had a reg 35 to make all the mods legal. It's now a legal trainer again and flies as good as it looks. Cheers, The Baron.

Hi Pete is 10049 your rego no or is it your serial no reason i ask is all the serial numbers i have looked at only have 4 digits just curious? cheers Steve

Like Corky said it should have a 4 digit number starting with the number 1 on the end of the engine mount usually the front left hand side one. The numbers are not real big. For example if your t83 is the 49th built it's number will be 1049, certified 2 seaters have the ID plate like Pud mentioned.Cheers Steve.

Hi Frank, I have used both Ap303 and Armourall on my skins i think it's much of a muchness. I put my rego numbers on before i used UV treatment on the skins. The Gemini has 760 hrs on it and it would not have spent much time in direct sunlight in the heat of the day. Cheers Steve.

Hi Frank, The elevator, rudder,and horizontal stabilizer skins on my Gemini are original 1986, the only reason i changed the wing skins was because i wanted 17 battens instead of 9. Having said that my aircraft has always been in a hangar and covered , which i think makes a big difference. Cheers Steve.

Hi Frank, They are dacron and no i didn't clean them with solvent as they hadn't had any armourall or anything like that put on them. Cheers Steve.

She looks fantastic Pud it is a credit to you believe me i know how much work has gone into it as i have completely rebuilt a Gemini and brought it up to T500 specs with the help of the late Tony Hayes and Bob Llewelyn of TOSG. single seat thruster info Hi Andrew, Kay Hayes has handbooks on all of the thruster types, there is one that covers all single seat thrusters t83,t84,t85 series. They are very comprehensive and not exspensive about $48.00 each. contact no. 0754231963 Cheers Steve.

this is indeed avery sad day, not only for Kay, Sue, and Penny but for ultralight aviation as well.we have all heard the saying that everybody can be replaced well sadly in this case that is not true Tony can not be replaced nor can his experience and knowledge, he freely gave expert advice to anyone who asked and took nothing in return, nothing was to much trouble.I could site hundreds of occasions where Tony has helped someone with a problem. Kay ,Sue, and Penny have lost a much loved and valued husband and brother, aviation has lost his knowledge and his wealth of experience, and i have lost a bloody good mate, cheers Tony and may you rest in peace.
