    My new rego took 4 weeks to process after it arrived at the RaAUS office. No issues. I think they are just going through them one at a time, crossing all the t's etc. 5 more hours flying and I should be off the 40 mile restriction. Laurie

    The damage doesn't look too sharp - it appears to have a decent radius; I doubt it will crack. I'd be tempted to put bucking bar behind it and give it a tap with a plastic hammer to flatten it out. Laurie

    There are probably billions of lawn mower type engines running on the Jabiru magneto style ignition system. Simple, self sustaining and works. Laurie

    No worries Scott. These forums can be very impersonal and responses can be read as terse although not intended that way. Glad you like the video. BTW, the presence of the gopro is not noticeable at all in the aircraft handling or performance. Pretty sure you're a regular video uploaded too; always great to see our wonderful Aussie scenery.     The sticky back mount is very strong. It's stuck to a 3mm inspection panel that in turn is attached to the wing with 4 x 4mm screws in rivnuts. Laurie. Ps, there's no way I'd be using a suction mount outside the cockpit.

    It has been a recognised ALA for over 30 years. Maybe no application was needed. Nothing has changed other than more aircraft are now using it. Laurie

    You assume I use a suction mount? When you assume you make ass out of u and me. I too would be hesitant to use a suction mount. There are much more secure ways you know. Laurie.

    This one looks to have been converted without re-arcing the undercarriage. The gear legs need a bend near the top and reduction in the bend at the bottom - then it sits up like a 180. Laurie

    It's going pretty well Steve. First 5 hours flown have been good. Sorting out a rich mixture issue - it appears the engine came with very rich jetting (possibly for a 6 instead of a 4 cylinder). Anyway I've now got the recommended main and needle jets in and going to test it tomorrow. Laurie
