  1. I know this is somewhat off topic, but I always enjoy reading your posts Kaz. They are always highly informative, very well reasoned, nicely articulated, not emotive, and a great contribution to the discussions here. Thank you very much for bringing these qualities to this forum. Peter.
  2. they do? Can you post a link please? I can't seem to find it there......
  3. what do you think are the features of this syndicate that make it so attractive?
  4. Thank you. I think the process should include something like a 30 day consultation period. I'm going through constitution change for a professional body I'm secretary of, and I think it's good practice to put a draft revised constitution out to all members for comment. Whenever I revise a constitution I get lots of useful feedback from the members this way. And that's apart from having others correct my typos, of which there are lots.
  5. Congratulations to Ed on your election. This first letter as president is postive and encouraging. Referring to his letter: what is the CRC? and what changes to the constitution are proposed? what is the process here?
  6. the qualifications for board membership are in the constitution: ie, they must be a financial member and that's it. They don't need a pilot's licence.
  7. probably lots. Also imagine how much a spectator could be hurt by that thing if it hit them
  8. wow, he picked up another 100rpm by changing from 15W50 to 15W60? that seems counter-intuitive. No other changes made?
  9. pardon my ignorance, but why are the pax vs freight aircraft different?
  10. that's why it's cheaper, surely?
  11. note to self: don't start engine when people are around!
  12. how did the plane look after all that? and did it chew up the prop, using it that way?
  13. yes, agree, well done to the pilot, the plane doesn't matter, people do.
  14. I read this post, thinking this guy's right, until I got to this bit, when it dawned that he's simply got no credibility.
  15. the original post is vague: "pilot around 70.......impending problems" seems to suggest an age issue? My sympathy to all near and dear to the pilot, and hopefully the facts will emerge soon.
  16. Everyone is of course very sad to hear this news. But do the above posts suggest that pilots over 70 shouldn't be flying?
  17. all in the same aircraft? Or can you continue to do circuits in one while another is being refueled?
  18. I remember being in the backyard of our house in Adelaide, it would have been in the late fifties, and this loud white delta wing plane flew over, and my dad said it was a vulcan.
  19. could this be used for time travel?
  20. I'm also confused. I guess the question I have is 'can they legally fly?"
  21. are pacific ibis aircraft still grounded?
