    G'day Paul, I'll send some pics when I get home. The manifold I have is water heated as i'm of the school that thinks ((believes) that wet intakes should be heated to maintain vaporisation. But that's me. ( I personally think carbies SUCK!...I'm a firm believer in EFI) As to redrives , I'm running an Autoflight..c.a $3200 from Niel Hinz in NZ. I do have a Hirth box 2.25:1 (unused)on an ea81 c/w adapters etc ....you may be interested in!

    Paul......G'day, I have a modified manifold with a (If I remember correctly) a Stromberg or Zenith 175 for the Ea81. I have some pics I can send ; if your'e interested ,when I get back home next week . In Bendigo at the moment.

    G'day Sandy, the trials and tribulations (eventually....or is that eventfully/) of kitbuilding! Wow, 1000# empty is sure a load for an ea81 ! I think the way to jump up to the task is probably to check out Ram heads.......http://www.ramengines.com/index.html . Up to 140 hp, modified heads and cams et al . Worth a look.     I'm not going to get into the wrestling match here...or anywhere for that matter, but to shed some light on your question; I was at Bolly this day and saw the Jabiru decalled props which they have been supplying for "some-time now"(sic). They are pretty impressive with a hub root about twice the diameter of standard Bolly/Warp/etc. I think if you had a prop strike it'd rip the engine off the firewall! (don't know if that's a good thing...don't ask me how I know) They make a very fine piece of kit and are excellent people to deal with. (...plug over) . And if the rego was'nt in a bl**dy pile somewhere in Fyshwick I'd be tempted!

" (end quote) } I'm a simpleton!....I know , so that's OK (with me) ; How-ever if the RAA deed of agreement with CASA , 'REQUIRES' an SMS Officer, why the Bl**dy hell does it need a consensus from a disfunctional board of representatives. As I said .....I'm a simpleton! Seems to me it's as 'they' say .....it's a no-brainer !! So tell me why?...............(please.......keep it simple)

    AFAIK.......Jabbie engines can be a bit problematic with cooling in a pusher config. As I say AFAIK ! Could be wrong..........wouldn't be the first time.............or the last.
