  1. Maybe it "flipped" horizontally. Dug a wingtip/sponson in or something.
  2. That's a very nice looking aircraft, and the shape lends itself to polishing. It'd look a lot better with the cowl painted with stripes going back onto the fuselage instead of the sharp demarcation.
  3. Have you tried 3D cad? I used Sketchup for mine - easy to use and you can put your engine in place with the thrust offset and everything.
  4. I'd hate to think how much fuel some of the boaties go thru. Especially the big buggers with a couple of 300hp engines on the back, that get up on the plane when they're 50m from the boat ramp.
  5. Don't worry, I don't think you're venerable. Shitheads come in all colours and origins (and football clubs). Some suburbs of any city are full of white bogans who'll bash you for no reason. Bloke at work got beaten up and in a coma by a gang of teenagers - white. Another mate got king hit in a nightclub and was never the same since. The bloke who did it was white. Jeez you can't trust those vanilla flavoured scumbags.
  6. Maybe mine had been bored out, although it looked new (bought it second hand). I got the AN7's because that's what exactly fitted.
  7. RF, my build uses AN7-40 bolts from the mount to the ring mount. From memory the AN7 size was just right for the holes in the ring mount.
  8. This is what I got... Gary's Race Parts were quick to deliver and I had no problem fitting them. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/113907762719 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/123096941598
  9. He's standing up against racism, and good on him for doing it.

i'm guessing that the lanes between them are wide enough to taxi, just look narrow from the angle.
  11. That's a pretty plane.
  12. No matter how bad, you don't see it when you're inside.
  13. Whoops, too late. Didn't see your photo before I posted.
  14. Do get a gasket - they're only $12 or so and it's very likely you'll rip it when removing the water pump (which you have to do unfortunately!)
  15. Possibly the other thing is that not all airports have a full grass strip - anywhere that's not runway/taxiway may have culverts, lights, drains and a bunch of other stuff that you don't want to hit.
  16. Gotta have tight nuts, or your Dunlops won't dangle.
  17. I've seen that before, but it's bloody impressive - especially as it was made in 1926 apparently. Comment on the British Pathe site says the woman is a pilot, Gladys Ingle, also a member of "13 Black Cats" which apparently was a Hollywood daredevil group. Lot of setting up and camera work there - there's plenty of close-up camera work of her on the wing, even one shot which looks like it was taken from near the tail of the Jenny, and this was well before Go-Pro.
  18. Very professionally packed. No protractor or covers included - I will be setting up a laser pointer to calculate pitch, and have asked my wife to sew up some covers.
  19. Beautifully detailed aircraft by the looks of it. That was scary to watch though - it's a guided missile!
  20. Hi Vladimir, Glad you are ok and still able to work. I am sorry I didn't end up ordering one of your propellers, it was my first choice but due to the uncertainty caused by the invasion I chose not to take the risk. The Bolly looks excellent, but I haven't put it on the plane yet - waiting until everything is connected and ready to start engine before I do. I hope you remain safe, as well as your family and friends - and that the war is over soon.
  21. Hmmmm... no... like that too! That's ok. It'd be a boring old world if we found the same aircraft attractive.
  22. I like it. If Santa were to bring me one I wouldn't say no.
  23. I don't know what function it serves having your prop centerline pretty much level with the bottom of an almost flat fuselage, requiring hugely long u/c just to keep your prop off the ground.
  24. Lower row gets to stretch their legs. Makes up for the fart risk.
  25. If you could do it with a smooth wing surface and without heavy complex mechanisms, it'd be well worth it. Birds do it and they fly pretty well.
