    As we the paying members seem to be continually kept in the dark by our organisation (RAAus) and what its up to, plus the fact our elected representives are forever silent, is it time we organised a group or comittee to represent us the members within the RAAus organisation. The group with the backing of members could act to bring the RAAus back into the members fold so to speak. I think something more than just talk has to be done or we'll be grounded for ever. I am sure there are compotant people out there that could do this and act for the members and not their own self importance or agenders.

    Just a rumour i heard, no need for any source naming. If RAA dont know about it than there cant be anything in it. Seemed a bit much for CASA to shut down the whole RAAus movement but you never know with bureacrats

    HEARD ALL RAA PLANES WILL BE GROUNDED IN 3 DAYS This is a rumour I have heard anyone know about it or if there is any truth to it

    all you legal eagles out there would this be legal as far as RAAus membership goes or as far as the RAAus constution goes or is it just personal victimisation of a member

    If this is true I think it is time for the sh#t to really hit the fan and all RAAus members to take a stand I like the idea of another (two) organisations to represent our flying privlages What would CASA think of two governing bodys ????

    Hi Ian Have you thought about a forum heading for 95-10 aircraft only My thoughts are if potential flyers can read about 95-10 aircraft they might realize that they can get flying in their own aircraft for $3000 to $6000 and have fun and not need $35000 and up to get their own aircraft. How many of us would be flying if we had to start out thinking we had to purchase a $35000 plus aircraft. I feel that the availability of 95-10 aircraft aren't mentioned enough in the rec aviation anymore. Remember thats what got the movement going and if its not kept being promoted a lot of young potential flyers might just buy a boat or something else instead Just my thoughs

    Gee reading the above this proxy thing seems to be a bit of a problem no wonder most members just throw the paper in the bin. What gets me is none of own state reps have come on board with any advise or saying they will act as a proxy. Why wasnt a list of names included with the voting paper who were willing to act as proxys Does the RAAus really want members to vote on these matters !!!!!!!!!! Wouldnt it be great to hear from our state reps occasionally and not only when they want us to vote them to the board I do ask myself at times weather they really want to represent us or only satify their own self esteem.!!!

    Strips level Eastern end is in over grape vines (good approch) western end a bit tricky as approch over sand ridge with high trees Strip OK for Savannah maybe a bit tricky for Jabiru although mates Nth/Sth strip (over 600 mtrs) not far away Cheers

    Hi All Just removed my rudder and found significant wear on the top alum hinge bracket The middle bracket worn but not as much No significant wear on the bottom bracket Anyone else had this problem ????

    I havent a problem with the mag on sale at newsagents allthough the articles could be improved. But I do think an insert (included only in the members post outs) with a report of what happening within our organisation maybe our elected board members could report on what they pushing for and how they are representing their members in their area. Seem to hear from them when they want to be elected then once elected nothing!!!!! Just food for thought
