    Being a financial member of the RAA is a legal requirement in order to fly an RAA registered aircraft. From the RAA Ops Manual Version 7.1....PILOT IN COMMAND (GROUP A and B) 1. A person intending to act as pilot in command of a Group A or B recreational aeroplane operated under the provisions of this manual and associated legislation must: a. be a financial member of RAAus; b. be the holder of a valid Student or Converting Pilot Certificate or Pilot Certificate, in the appropriate aeroplane Group, issued or recognised by RAAus Franco.

    Nev, You will never convince our "enemies" flying those "dangerous things" can be safe, if done correctly! they don`t want to be convinced and I`ve learned to live with that. I`ve taken up a heck of a lot of people, over the years, and as part of my pre-flight briefing, to those who arn`t familiar with Ultralights, I say, " these aircraft are not toys, they fly for real and they kill for real" guess what! no one has yet backed off and decided not to go up with me!!! I tell it as it is. By the way, I`m not in that video! I came across it on the internet, where any of our "enemies" could find it! Franco.

    Crazy??? Possibly! for want of a better word, I call it, "thinking outside the square". Where would we be today if there had been no one, before us, brave enough, or "crazy enough" to attempt something that had never been done or thought of before? Unfortunately! some paid with their life for others to learn. Franco.

    My 3-Year-Old Great-Grand-Son, Deacon Theurillat, lives here, with his parents, in a second house on our property! he`s been watching me take his Mum Alison, his Dad Sam and his sister Brooklyn, (and others) Drifter flying, for most of his young life and he`s been wanting to go flying with me since around 2 years of age so this morning I decided, "Today Is The Day"! Alison and Deacon, , Of course! Brooklyn and Alison wanted to go up also...6-Year-Old Brooklyn is a veteran! , she first flew with me at 4 years of age. , , Franco

    Went Drifter flying in the southerly wind blowing here yesterday, I call it "aerial surfing", didn`t take any pics but at times my GS was almost zero! I could hold the Drifter into the wind, just above the stall speed of 32 kts...........Franco
