  1. EPIC !! And that's there day job ! Love how at the bottom of one of the loops the Lead P-38 pilot cant help but smile... Thanks for posting that.
  2. Fantastic stuff mate !!
  3. Great stuff - Having just bought a new Highlander a few month ago I need to go both finish my RAA ticket and get some tail drag`n time so have booked the airtime in a lightwing. When the RAA reinstate its rego that is !
  4. Do LWs fly nicely ? Would you say they make a good tail dragger trainer ?
  5. This guy built a wood Cri Cri... Then flew it RC...
  6. If Steve Whitman... and Jim Bede designed a plane together Im sure it would of looked like this in the 70s.. I like it.
  7. Try readymaderc they are great for all things Gopro cables and I bough alot of stuff from them for my Ariel GoPro work.
  8. The Cri Cri has always been a must have/really want homebuild for me but alas, at 95 Kgs, and 6.4 I will never fit. The maximum pilot weight in the POH is 72 Kgs anyway... So, I`m doing the next best thing. Building a LARGE RC version of it. There is 2 electric 1:1 scale Cri Cri so I will be building mine as a scaled down 38% Model. Here is a video of the full size Electric Cri Cri Mine will be powered by electric brushless out runners on 12 cell Lipos ! Here is a picture of my wife holding the canopy of my RC version. Yep.. its BIG ( for a small plane )
  9. Thanks - Wonder why he did not shut down ? I guess looking at a garden 60 feet below may of got his attention...
  10. You raise some good points - I wonder if the stats back up that BRS equipped aircraft fly into weather or over tiger country more than non equipped BRS aircraft because pilots think " oh well.. I can always pull the handle " ... Hmm.....
  11. Dont know it but want to !
  12. Rob has done a great job in ensuring it is kept a " old country grass airstrip " and the town has not changed much if at all...
  13. Control was never really an issue for safety. Just meant it was a splash down ( with no water rudder usable ) This is my local beach and people are used to me flying my seaplanes there. They LOVE it.. Wait till my FlyNano arrives ! ( just jokes ) I doubt I would take off there.
  14. Thanks Lark ! If you would like a " ride " here you go...
  15. Holy crap ! Well, as I said Im glad you were ok. The boil off fluid must of been hot however ?
  16. It has not changed much but it sure will. Amazing place to fly with lots to see and a great pub with Coopers on tap ! We are about 2 weeks away from finishing our Hangar there. Number 1 !
  17. Really ? Were you hit by flying debris ? Glad you were ok mate.
  18. My house in near the harbor and they overfly my house all the time - LOVE IT ! One afternoon I was just doing some maintenance work on my RC Beaver when the full size beaver fly over ! Kinda cool. You will need to turn up the volume to full !
  19. My Dad and I went 4 years ago and it was a blast ! We were sitting right where Jimmy P51 went in.. Talk about timing !
  20. You got it ! My home strip !
  21. Thanks Matty... Ill just play the waiting game with the LW 912 as its only an hours drive so workable for me. Thanks for the back up info however.
  22. Thanks for the offer but I think we have provided the builder with a solution that works.
  23. I needed to go do some hours in the clostest aircraft I could find to my Highlander and a lightwing 912 is about the closest. There is one at the Oaks at Sydney flying school but RAA have pulled his rego due to all the issues... So.. I cant complete my RAA and the hightlander is in Vic and I need to get it up here but have found a work around.. My wife is just weeks away from giving birth to our first child ( a little co pilot baby boy ) and I dont want to leave her so... Just annoying timing but it may work in my favor as our Hanger is almost complete so all good ! Think I might of taken on 3 major projects at once lol...
