  1. I know its been around BUT doesn't it give you a tingly feeling. Love that Rudder. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5X_7Xt2ga-s&feature=related"
  2. Well, made me go and look and renewal is due in August, will keep an eye out for the reminder. Only recently went through the process of paying the rego on the Aircraft. In this day and age an automated email delivery system is not difficult, may require some software upgrdes but in my view would be money well spent. Necessary forms could automatically be attached. For those still in the dark ages (obviously no-one on this forum as all will have emails) a report can be generated to mail manually. This should solve the problem of late notices (as long as the Computers/servers don't crash but then again appropriate backups etc). The savings of #members x postage for rego's and licence renewals would be significant.
  3. Gibbo, your going to have a lot of friends very shortly. I'd be very interested in a copy when you've completed the data. I'll send you a PM.
  4. Not sure, sounds like Jargon. I know what an STD is............. but not from personal experience.
  5. Realistically it will never hapen if the General Public are in control of their vehicle. Only when the system can safely control the trafic so that idiots have no input. Just like the Jetsons and then you can walk your dog on a treadmill. Here Astro............... (we don't have a dog icon)
  6. Flying car almost ready for take-off - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) I want one .................
  7. You walk around a Fly-In, see people deep in conversation and maybe don't want to butt in. You probably know them on the forum but don't recognise them in person. After Fly-In's you read here "I may have met you there...." "Was that you with the ....." etc. Its probably a bit dorky but what about RAA name badges with our membership with our username, i.e. "Cosmick". Probably feel like your at an Amway convention BUT its sad if we miss out on a face to face when we sometimes only get the chance a few times a year. Or has this allready been done.............
  8. Just a timely reminder, i'll be getting there Fri arvo 2nd.
  9. Im not even a Bush Lawyer but I would expect that any copyright would be with the printed charts. The digital map is that item scanned and provided you have paid for the printed chart you should be able to own the scanned digital copy. Then, being that the digital map was sold to the user it may be unetical to then on sell a copy of that image to a third party as it may be construed that you are impacting on the ability of the retailer to earn income. Now that that retailer no longer supplies the images, you can no longer purchase them from that source, then by supplying the image to a third party you are NOT impacting on the retailers ability to earn income. (all sounds like jargon doesn't it). So I want Digital WAC's from Roma to Birdsville and VTC for Toowoomba/Oakey area - where do I get them.
  10. Hi Ross, MAPTRAX are no longer supplying Aero Charts, does anyone know of another source. Looking for WAC's from Roma to Birdsville and a VTC for Toowoomba - Oakey. If they are no longer supplying is it still unethicle to share a copy? Mike

  19. Hi Slarti, I have the Mio 370. Can you send me your customised screen for this unit please
  20. 39r79r and 37 89r Hi Guys, Usually flying the Aerochute around YCAB but have recently converted to HP 3 axis in 3979 and had 1st Nav YCAB YGYM YWSG YCAB a week ago in 3789 with Zane in the RHS. Another Pilot did a reverse Nav in 3979 and we left 1 minute apart, total of 2.2hrs inc 6 circuits and taxi. Our inbound calls into YCAB 10nm from home were 15 seconds apart. It was amazing. I do agree that 3789 has a bit more get up and go but with a TTIS of under 500hrs compared to over 4000hrs in 3979 you might expect that. I actually think 3789 is softer in Turbulance. They are great aircraft to fly and excellant trainers with their steel spring undercarriage. Congrats on your endorsements so far, no doubt we will run into each other around YCAB.
  21. Yeah Hi Slarti, tried again and no go, if you could email me that would be good at [email protected] Ta
