I also have a Patroney 3blade on my j230 an am very happy with it. The lack of vibration is terrific. Cruise speed much the same but better climb out and possibly better cooling. It is important to set the pitch correctly and not chase too much cruise speed.
Oh and the aircraft does really sound great.

Hi Jack,
Some work has been done along this line at The Oaks. Carried out on an LSA Jab.Did show improvement in warmer months but carby ice did rear it head on a number of occasions. After removal no more icing.
Cheers Glenn
Why dont you try Dianne at Punkinheadair in Yarrawonga Airport? She made a set for my J230 and they are great. Her web site is http://www.punkinheadair .com.au and phone is 0429938426
Peter,
Cost $722.50 total.
Just make sure the intercom is in stock before paying. I was told would be on the way next day and waited a month and he had my money. Still works really well so am happy with it.
Regards Glenn
If its any help I had a similar problem with my Icom radio and David Clarke headsets. Have just fitted an XCOM intercom to the panel and its seems to work fine. Had XCOM make up a new wiring harness as well. If you look at their website under FAQs you will find the wiring diagram to hook it up. I had a Sigtronics unit in my previous plane and it worked ok. I think the XCOM is superior many more features.
Cheers Glenn
Hawkesbury Powered Parachutes may be of some help to you. They are listed in the RAA mag . Graham Hutchinson is the CFI . I believe they almost have Benson Lane airfield up and running again. Believe insurance was a hang up. Hangerage would be a problem as the strip is on flood prone land. Not much else available in the area.
Hi brentc
I have a J230 with mods done and a carbon fiber 3 blade prop. Just wonder what jets and needle you are using ?? I have just fitted Jabirus economy lean kit and feel this is a little light on for this configuration. My cht is still a little high.
Paid $293.00 US plus postage and handling .About $335.00 aud. Believe I may be up for GST on arrival but somebody told me they dont really worry under $1000. We will see in a week or so.
Fuel Flow Meter
Hi this is my first posting.
I have a j230 jab and am interested in fitting a fuel flow meter. Previously had a J160 with a Fuel Mizer fitted but this brand seems to have gone to ground. Any ideas on whats out there that works well ??
