  3. Hi Guys, We are the manufacturers of the Bushbaby, Explorer and Safari range of aircraft. We have 10 planes flying in Australia at the moment and I thought to start this thread to answer any support questions that might pop up. For more info and some videos you can have a look at our websites www.saplanes.co.za and www.fun2fly.co.za Safe flying. Regards Stefan
  4. The Stolspeed Vg's work great on the planes and brings the stall right down to 28kts on the Explorer and 26kts on the Bushbaby.
  5. Hi Mike, I have only picked up on this thread now. Have a look at our website. www.saplanes.co.za. I am sorry you had trouble getting hold of us or our Auz agent. Not sure hwy this happened. We have about 10 Bushbabies flying in OZ and abou 230 world wide. Our agent there has let us down so I am looking for someone else at the moment but the advantage of the Bushbaby is that you can get parts at local stores. Drop me a mail if you know of someone interested in becoming a Kitplanes dealer.
  6. You welcome anytime. I will take you for a flip around the JHB area. Just let me know.
  7. Our airframes are approved for nearly any engine in a certian weight and hp (65-150hp) limit but Rotax and Jabiru are the most widely used followed by types like Revmaster, Aerovee, some volkswagen engines, Subaru EA81, Toyota Yaris 3 cyl, Rotec radial, UL Power, D-motor, Continental, Lycoming 233 to name but a few I can think of.
  8. Will be a cheap option. The Rand is up to #$%^ at the moment so this is the time to travel cheap. We are close to Johannesburg International. I can show you guys around. Can't say anything about our planes or school but search the net. SA's flying is great but challenging to some. The high density altitudes are a challenge. On a 30degr C day at our home field (Petit) ICAO FARA, it easily gets to 8000ft DA and 30 deg C is still an average day. Down in the Lowveld where I used fly from, the day temps in summer also reaches the 45-48 degr C with 90-100% humidity. The humidity is the killer. It's a land of extremes, both climate and beauty. I love this place.
  9. The wildlife will probably be the least of your proplems..These guys might be more of a concern. As I said. TIA
  10. TIA. This is Africa. . We have lots of vistors coming to do our Bushflying course. I teach them how to run fast.............and supply the shoes, just in case.
