  5. I remember when I started a new Job checking out powerlines there was a big red circle on the map and I asked is that military? Chief pilot goes, nope someone shot at us when we flew low over them while they were herding cattle.

  13. ULTRA light plane has crashed in Gippsland this afternoon. Emergency services were called Newry, near Maffra, about 12.45pm. The plane has come down over power lines.   14. I have just been advised a plane has gone down in the vicinity of 366 Upper Maffra Road Newry. The 45 year old pilot has landed in the paddock of a veggie farm and is believed to be ok but with some sort of head injury, it is believed he has clipped powerlines during the "forced" landing. No details on the aircraft at this stage.
  15. The ATSB is investigating a ground handling event involving a Malaysia Airlines Airbus A330. On 31 March 2016, at about 0100 Eastern Daylight-saving Time1, an Airbus A330, registered 9M-MTB and operated by Malaysia Airlines, was being prepared for departure at Melbourne Airport, Victoria. During passenger boarding, the aircraft rolled rearwards from the gate about 2-3 m. The aerobridge and the aircraft’s forward left door were damaged. In September of 1987 it went to Skywest Aviation Pty Ltd of Cloverdale, West Australia and then was noted parked up at Darwin until listed to Kelvin Stark of Auckland on 17-12-1996. It arrived in NZ in December of 1996 and joined the Air Safaris & Services (NZ) Ltd fleet at Tekapo from 05-05-1997 as ZK-NMC.
